So, how do i create music without a MIDI anything just keyboard and mouse?
@Ryan_VanSlyke5 жыл бұрын
You can use a mouse to manually input MIDI in the editor, or you can set up your piano as a midi input. The velocities are always constant this way and you still have to edit those, however.

@@Ryan_VanSlyke secondary option is to create a virtual midi input and set it up to use your keyboard
@Ryan_VanSlyke5 жыл бұрын
@@Darkknife01 That too, the default keyboard midi input uses the top two rows in a piano format.

So are we not able o use virtual instruments? I just wanna hear notes
@Ryan_VanSlyke5 жыл бұрын
You can, but you'll have to download them manually. Can't expect much more from a free DAW, though I'd say this one is the best for synthetic production.

Ryan VanSlyke i just need to use it to write midi with my instruments, since i cant really read music too well. And it keeps things organized, so i look for free VI plugins? Thanks
@Ryan_VanSlyke5 жыл бұрын
@@2BsWraith Yes, there are a lot of free VST plugins. You usually just have an installer and then have T7 scan for them in the directory where they're installed. Some of them are just ".dll" files. You put those in the directory that T7 will scan in as well. Personally, I have a dedicated folder for vst plugins and try to install them all there if it's possible. However, installers generally try to put the VST in their own folder named after the publisher under the "Program Files" directory, so you could always just scan that. If you're looking for some good VSTs, there are some free ones listed in a playlist on this channel. HRS Courses, and Andrew Huong also have some good videos about free VSTs. I'd recommend these to start, though some can be hard to find: TDR nova equalizer Span Frequency analyzer HeadCrusher Tal Elek7ro / other Tal plugins DSK guitar / other DSK plugins Digital Suburban Dexed ADHD leveling tool Native Instruments Komplete start Versilian Upright Piano / other Versilian plugins Keyzone Classic piano Ample Sound abpl2 lite bass Ample Sound agml2 lite guitar Cloudrum

@@Ryan_VanSlyke Wow! Lovely! Thanks for all the info, this def will help. I really appreciate it.
@Ryan_VanSlyke5 жыл бұрын
@@2BsWraith No problem. Oh and by the way, T7 is 64 bit only, so if you install any 32 bit plug-ins, don't expect them to work with it. All the ones I listed have 64 bit versions though. A lot of plugins have both 32 bit and 64 bit versions. You can use netVst if you really want, but it can take a bit to set up.

One question... if i have sounds like kick or 808s or stuff like that. Is it somehow possible to open that midi piano like line on the left, and make a rythm with those sounds like in FL studio 20? where you could drop almost every sound on the note? Because i dont know how to do that in T7DAW.

Hi! I have a question. I imported a MIDI file which then I edited inside Tracktion, as you did. I thought that the changes I made will be saved into the imported file, but it is not. The imported MIDI file didn’t update. Closed and reopened the Project, luckily all the changes I made are still there, but Tracktion didn’t update the original MIDI file. Also, trying to Export as a MIDI doesn’t work properly. It deletes the first three or four bars of it. So, The question is: How can I access or where is the edited version that Tracktion loads of my MIDI file? Thanks for your help. 👍🏼

You could use reverb or a release setting for whatever plugin you're using. If you're wondering about automated volume control, there's a video in his playlist for that too.
