Why in Waveform 11 free is it that my multi-effects processor (in this case a valeton GP-100) shows up as a mic input and I cant use my vocal mic at the same time as my multi-effects unit...ideally I'd like to be able to play and sing at the same time and get it all recorded at once It wont allow me to split the sources between two different tracks (already tried that) and I can't assign two inputs to one track (obviously)

Could you do this to a submix track (example: I group all my instrumental mixes into one submix folder, on the bus track could I do an aux send then add reverb to the return for the audio track?

Is there a way to create a feedback loop with this? All other daws i've seen can do this using a aux track but i can't find a way to create one in waveform.

Can you have an aux return on several tracks receiving the same aux send? Or do you need another aux send on each aux return track?

How would I add delay only to certain words on a vocal. Through returns or sends?
@AudioTechTV19 күн бұрын
If you have your delay on an FX send then you would need to use a send on the track that you want to send to the delay and then put a return on the delay track. The way I add delay to specific words is through automation. Before you start with the automation, lower the fader on the delay track. Then create a volume automation lane on the delay. At the word you want to have the delay effect, use the volume automation to increase the level as loud and as long as you want the delay.

Hi Mr. I have a question: Where is the pre fader? I'd like to listen the wet signal only
@AudioTechTV2 жыл бұрын
If you want to hear the wet signal only, put the send before the fader (pre-fader) and then lower the volume on the “dry” track. Because the send is before the fader any volume adjustment on the fader won’t effect the send.
@giacomoneri1782Ай бұрын
@@AudioTechTV So, if i mute the dry track using the M button nothing is coming out from the wet track anyway? Is there any way around it? I'm currently using a dummy plugin with level at -infinite to mute the dry track without messing with the fader, but it would be nice if i could just use the mute button somehow.

I'm wishing I could enable a track's audio and midi output at the same time, so I could make the drum pads light up. 😄 I figured out how to do it with an extra track. I'd like to do it from one track.

If the delay/reverb plugin I'm using has a dry/wet blend control, is this the same as if I had a clean track and the effect in an aux send?
@AudioTechTV3 жыл бұрын
Yes. It’s the same sort of thing. Dry/wet can sometimes be called mix too. It just mixes the amount of dry signal goes with the wet. Similar to what you would do on an aux send.

True if you're just using one plugin, but if you have a series of plugins, then the results will be very different.
@giacomoneri1782Ай бұрын
@@kimspence-jones4765 Having for example a 60/40 dry/wet out of a reverb into a delay, it means both the repeats and the dry out the delay gets 40% reverb signal. On the other hand having a 100% wet reverb into a 100% wet delay on a bus means you have a completely dry direct signal and only the 100% reverb gets repeated. It's about what you want from it, you might want just your reverb in parallel to not have reverberated delay as well.

I want to so badly to use sends and returns, but adding a send plugin simply renders Waveform useless. The playback grinds almost to a halt, making everything sounds like it has been time stretched. It is clearly having a negative effect but I wouldn't know where to start in fixing this. Must be a RAM problem, surely? It's odd though, as I have a gaming system that should be able to handle it.
@danhymer2 жыл бұрын
Ive been having the same issues with playback, crazy cursor lag, clicks when the cursor forces the screen to the next fogged segment of the track and also hearing LOQ during renderings and more. I also can't seem to negate live monitored latency no matter what I do. I do not believe it is directly related to CPU usage but somehow is? When I mute plugins or freeze tracks the cursor lag improves and the CPU usage goes down but what really seems to cause an improvement is zooming in and out of the playback window. When the GPU is processing the visuals of the DAW it seems like the more information, the slower the program runs overall. The sound still plays but the response to actions and what is being shown gets slower. Zoom in on your project and see if you still have that issue as prominently as before. As I said, I've tried mostly everything from checking my core usage, making sure my bottlenecking is still below 5% which is what it was when I built the PC, canceling all unnecessary services etc. It seems the program is just that visually heavy. There is a panel in the settings of Waveform that shows you which VSTs/plugins are using the most CPU. You could try replacing some of those monsters but again, I think it's the programs coding itself and visuals themselves. What I would be curious about is if the pro versions are less taxing on the GPU/CPU. Doesn't seem like a good way to flagship your product, but sometimes companies are shifty like that. 🤷♂

I used fl studio (cracked version) a lot. Then I switched to Ableton (cracked again). Now I found Waveform free and I TOTALY LOVE IT. One thing I will give as critique is the note bending. In FL and Ableton is a lot easier to do. Anyway, Waveform have tons of potential and with every update it gets better. On the last update we had that bpm scan and auto sync with track tempo, which is amazing!

free drum & 808/bass plugins video Zane?
@AudioTechTV4 жыл бұрын
If you have Waveform, the built in Micro Drum Sampler is a decent 808 drum plugin. I do have a video with some of the best free drum plugins available here kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXW7i2t4lLxjfac It's older now and some of them may not be available anymore. I do plan on making an updated video. I have also been thinking about doing a free bass plugin video too. Thank you for watching. Keep creating! 👊👍
