How do I turn off send to master in Waveform? I like to use reference tracks and I don't want them to be mastered again. I want to keep the original signal.

I have imported an audio track (mp3) on track one. I have my guitar on input 1 (track2). after I have recorded playing along with the mp3, the new track 2 (with the guitar) also has the mp3! Even if I mute track 1 which has the MP3, I still hear it playing. Why does the mp3 become a part of the new recorded track? please help
