I used to use these old a frames long time ago. I had hydraulic adjusting RAM on top. ID give the ram and the tractor and the pin a jiggle all at once and the lifts would drop

That's great, now I know what these 'A' frames are for, I've seen on Ebay. I've never seen the 'implement half' for sale though. Are the frames available or custom made to fit each implement? I might looking into getting these 'a' frames myself, as hitching up heavy implements, as you will know, is a pain in the neck (and back). One major problem I see is it wouldn't work on things like my 3 furrow plough and finger-bar mower, because they fall over sideways when unhitched. I have to fiddle about propping them on both sides.

I’ve seen some a frames sold with both parts on eBay, I guess they are mainly sold separate because you may want multiple frames on implements to go with the one on the tractor. They do make hooking up easier though. Thanks for watching

We hang ours from an old swing set.

John Somerset And if you have an A frame you won't believe how much you can miss and it self centers. Our A frame doesn't have a spring lock just a hole at the top that we shove a big bolt through while sitting in the tractor. Jiffy hitch and a few others like you to think they invented this but it's old technology in Europe. And here in America we are still arguing which color of square quick hitch is correct.

can't you put the lifting arms (vertical) in a different hole on the regular lifting arms? that would get you to be able to lower it completely.

G.Work.Specials Hi. It’s got winder adjuster to lower the lifting arms a bit more but I think the gearbox inside it damaged it won’t move, thanks for watching
