Tony what is the difference between 254 and a 264 I really like the 264 and been talking to Smith enterprises about getting one?
@TonysTractorAdventure4 жыл бұрын
The T264 is just physically bigger and the loader can lift 1400lbs to full height vs the T254's 700lbs to full height. 700 pounds is plenty for most people, but we are lifting logs onto our sawmill.
@leewheeler63074 жыл бұрын
The RK 24 can lift over 900 pounds. This is basically the exact same tractor. Lift capacity should be the same as the RK 24. All it probably needs is the hydraulic pressure turned up. Its not hard to do. Should come that way from the factory.
@leewheeler63074 жыл бұрын
A few big differences between the 264 and 254. The 264 is heavier and has stronger lift capacities. The 264 don’t come standard with a mid pto but it can be added. The 264 has a oil cooled HST so no plastic fan to get torn up when in rough areas. I like the back hoe better on the 254 because it has the single swivel seat which makes it possible to operate and move tractor from the back hoe position. The 264 has a separate seat which puts you further back from the front tractor controls so you will have to get off the tractor to move it foreword a few feet to adjust tractor position for back hoe. Seating area on the 254 is not as cramped as the 264. The 254 has a yanmar diesel which is good. But the 264 has the Kuje diesel made by Cummings which is very powerful,smooth and quiet. If I was getting one with a back hoe I would go with the 254. If I was using just the tractor with loader. The 264 is the better choice. The HST is only a two range on 264 but low range is not to slow and high range is fast enough to use it to travel down a country road to do some work for a distant neighbor instead of loading it up the the trailer. I think it’s just about perfect for a two range HST. Size wise the 264 is not physically much bigger but everything seems overbuilt for its size and to me helps settle my mind when I’m using it at its limits. Both are great tractors! Better get one before people start figuring this out while the prices are still good on these.

Tony, this video went a long way in selling me on the TYM 254 with backhoe and loader. I've got exactly ten hours on mine at the time of this writing. Sure would be nice if I could get some insight as to how to remove the side panel for checking the oil level. Maybe if you get a chance you could throw some light on that. I'm probably not the only new 254 owner scratching his head over this.

Tony, Hey man. I absolutely love your videos. I've been watching them pretty tuff that last 3 days. My family is looking to invest in the 254 model soon. Inkluding the bakk hoe. My only koncearn is the way the hoe hooks up. I'm very weary in such regard, as i have read in a few places that a 3 point BH is very fragile and some how prone to ripping the traktor frame apart. For the price of investment i figure it's worth asking some such as yourself for a genuine introspekt. I am also koncearned about the lakk of flat ground in my area with regard to swapping out for a box blade etc. I thank you in advance for your reply and your time thus. Keep on doing what you do with your channel. I'm sure it helps more people than you would ever realize. Salute 🤘 From, NorKal USA Sübix -
