I can definitely say that when it comes to testing, you're the best Tony. You definitely know how to get the equipment going and pushing it to its limits. And that's what I like to see when someone is demonstrating equipment. I wanna see what it can do, and you've accomplished that. Thanks for sharing!! 🙂

Perfect timing! We just spent $23K on 50 hours of forestry mulching. They had 2 Cat steers on track and the first day and a half’s work was magic! Something sheered off in the gear box that runs the track. A day and a half later they got it fixed. Starting clearing and THE OTHER SIDE did the same thing! These machines are 1 year old. They had a good crew that followed a efficient plan of attack on clearing that were also good mechanics. Down another day for a bad DEF sensor. Lost Hydraulics on a hose while using a tree shredder and the last straw was when they were cutting down a century old Oak tree and hit a huge rock at the base. The owner said he was done! And left. The original price was for 80 hours of work. My point is although we have a big tractor that can’t get in like a skid steer, it’s good to see there are attachments that we can use taking it slower at our leisure and cutting trees to make paths first. Have you hit a big rock yet? Wondering what damage that causes?

23k ?? How many acres did you get done

We were wondering what the emissions control maintenance requirements are for the TYM 464. Would love to find out this information. Thank you for all of the information you are giving.
@TonysTractorAdventure2 жыл бұрын
It is a T474. It has a Regen system. We are over 250 hours and it has never once regenerated. We operated at a high RPM for most jobs so it runs super clean. We also run good fuel.

we are planning on clearing a lot of buckthorn and worried about the cost. This may be more cost effective than hiring out someone. As stated by others anything over 3" I'm burning in the wood stove. Our buckthorn is so thick and clustered this looks like a great solution! thanks for the review!
@TonysTractorAdventure Жыл бұрын
We have a lot to clean up, so it will be much more cost effective. It also, allows us to work at our own pace.

Great video. I don't have near as much to clear as you but I'd rather buy once and have something that will last and do what I need. Curious if you think a Kioti CK4020 could handle the FMP260? It's 33 hp at the PTO. Thanks

How many pto horsepower is your tractor? Great video!
@TonysTractorAdventure2 жыл бұрын
There is mixed information. The website says 35.9hp. I have read of people putting their T474s on a dyno. They are getting 38 plus true PTO HP. It may vary by tractor, so TYM indicates the low end.

Only on level ground. It is heavy for side loads.

Short answer. Yes, in ground like I have. Not for steep ground

It looks like you did some mowing in reverse. My current Flail mower will not mow in reverse without burning the belts. It would be a HUGE advantage to be able to mow in reverse. Does the FMP mow in reverse?
@TonysTractorAdventure2 жыл бұрын
It does not mow well in reverse but it knocks the stuff down. I can then mow forward kicking but. The mower doesn't care if it goes forward or reverse.
@suthrngadawg9 ай бұрын
Are those the heavy duty teeth, and if so are they good on regular pasture grass too?

You should in the great dust bowl of Tenn. please where a Respirator so you or Tanya or Brook do not get sick....... So your goal is to do ten yards by 5 feet every week or are you going to hit it hard and do 2 to 5 acres.... That is why on the front it is easier to do big jobs!!!!

In this case the reason we didn’t clear that much area is that I was visiting for two days and Tony wanted to show me several different things he had, so we were limited on time We also milled some logs in the sawmill

@threepointservices-tractor48322 жыл бұрын
The spec sheet for the flail mower rates the machine for a maximum 30 horsepower tractor. TYM advertises the 474 as 48 horsepower tractor. Wouldn’t it be more of a test, if you used properly rated equipment with the implement? Please correct me, if I got something wrong in my research of the equipment.
