I imagine you don’t see a lot of Glencoe soil savers over there, but here in the midwestern U.S. they were more than plentiful back in the day before I was born and can still be found in use

No they are very rare over here, very useful tool though! Glad to hear some are still working away in their home country

Tractor Barn Productions they were a big deal. They were the first step away from the moldboard plow. Smaller operators tend to keep them around

what does V double disks do on back ? to smooth or create more trench to trap rain. do you disk or plant directly w/ no till

In this case it was to loosen winter ploughing in the spring before potato planting although they were originally developed for stubble breaking
