Hopefully with a few more items of maintenance we can move this one out the door and into the woods. For now, I don't seem to have the time to make'em pretty. The mechanical end is more important to me. That MAY change one of these days though. Thanks for stopping in for a visit today !!

I like it. In addition to the vacuum add grease to the drill and tap that captures alot of the shavings. Great video.

Thanks Leonard for the kind words. This was going to have to be cut out of the much longer video about the first real start and checkout. I don't like to draw the videos out so long. I'd rather make a few short ones to keep from boring everyone.

Wow! Makes me want to tackle this project except I don’t have it to work on! Soooooooo, I recon I’ll just have to be satisfied by the video and do lots of drippin, tippin and sippin in the morning your way! Now in my dreams tonight I suppose I’ll be making gaskets and putting them on everything whether it needs it or not! With this activity upon awakening inna mornin, I’ll be needin extra JO which means lots more tippin and sippin your way since all this TM44 video activity goin on makes me expend far more energy in both the sleep, awake and state of Pennsylvania. That said makes me want a little snack before I retire to my pillows of dreamdom heer inna holler. So with all this non cents I really must hang up me jeans, dress in the latest holler mattress attire, tell meself some stupid story to lull me into the sugar plum madness so often written about and say, have a Lovely evening with Squeezen Pkeezez! This heer is DaveyJO an I’m outta my mind! 🤪🤪🤪☕️☕️☕️☕️🚜🚜🚜🚜🐓🐓🐓🐓👍👍👍👍

This week has been shed building week at the daughters house. Time and energy are both a bit short as a result !! See ya, ol' buddy and I'll be up bright and early playing catch up again in the morning. Have a relaxing evening my friend !!

I got off onto another project at me daughters that couldn't wait so I'm still not done with the little problems on this guy yet. I'm hoping the hydraulics are at least down to a dribble on it though. (-;

Great tip and video! Though i don't know any Massey Harris 44 tractors in Estonia, still it was interesting to watch. Btw, my old soviet tractor from 1953, have hydraulic system that's entirely closed system without whatever rubber seals. All components is inside one closed body. Oil pump and even hydraulic cylinder have metal piston rings. Sure there is a lot of leaks even if it was new. Because all components are inside closed compartment all leaks drips back into oil bath so there is no oli loss at all. That tractor have only three point lifter at back no other hydraulic options and can lift 400 kg (880 pounds).

I tell ya, with a little work, these old 44's can show really well at the pulls. Their rear ends are know for such reliability that many of the first and second generation hot rod tractor builders used them.

Hi. I have a 1977 Ford 1600 Tractor with a 1.8 L diesel. Was wondering if there is an engine rebuild kit for it and where I can find one. Thanks.
@tractorman4461
@tractorman4461 6 ай бұрын
I don't know specifically, but I'd get the model AND serial number from the tag and also the engine manufacturer. Then google that specific engine model number for a rebuild kit. You need the serial # because often the manufacturers make improvements on this or that during production so those changes are tied to the serial number. Engine rebuild kits vary from site to site, so make sure you know ALL the parts you want to have included and make sure the kit you select has them. Don't forget a complete gasket set if you are doing a total rebuild. Another suggestion is to buy an actual service manual on that engine because then all your torque specs and tons of details will be right there for you. Good Luck my friend !! I usually don't get to work on new stuff like yours.

If you had not come up with the idea of drilling that hole, what do you think you would have done? Just curious!
@tractorman4461
@tractorman4461 6 ай бұрын
The only logical answer to me was total disassembly, where I'm sure the spring loaded valve would compress from the opposite end during reassembly.
