That’s a beautiful piece of property and a wonderful yard house and a barn. Best of all all the equipment is green. I just wish John Deere customer service would treat me as good as John Deere treats you. When I bought my tractor used, I noticed that the owners manual it was missing and I called John Deere and they said that I have to spend over $100. I know I can go online and print one out or keep it on my iPhone but it’s always good to have something on paper in the cab. John Deere customer service basically told me to “beat it.” The whole reason why I bought a used tractor was because I wanted a pre-omissions pre-Tier IV model. So I found a low our 2011 John Deere 5083E Limited.

Pallet forks have indeed been a game changer. I don't have mine on nearly as much as you said you do, probably because the set of Ken's Bolt on Hooks makes my FEL bucket a lot more versatile than the standard bucket and I'm able to pick up and move a lot of things with it. I will get a grapple at some point too (now is definitely not the time), I have learned from watching and working with you what a game changer that can be.

It’s a real good investment because you can buy so many attachments that you can run off the PTO or the hydraulics. You can run anything from a PTO powered generator for the house 🏡 to a PTO powered stump grinder all the way to a hydraulically run post digger. Just so many possibilities. And I’m not even touching on the front end attachments for the loaders.

TRENT ELSWICK I know! I’ve been looking at a mahindra 1626, and I’ve been on tractors a while now, nothing comes close to a mahindra or Branson tractors. I’m going to have at least $40,000 in attachments😂

My wife and I know just how you feel. When I retired from the Navy, I pulled out our records and we had 24 different address' during my 21 years of service. So needless to say, things stayed in boxes quite often. The biggest pain was weight limits. As a DIY type, trying to keep everything under a "PCS weight Allowance" (PCS - permanent change of station) was the challenge. Example: An E-5 with a dependent (doesn't matter how many, a single parent or family of 8) get a 9,000 pound weight limit (take a moment and remember your dump trailer has a load limit higher than that). Anything over that and you'll pay out of pocket to have it moved. Commercial rates can get quite expensive for moving "weight". BTW: any open bottles of liquid, food items, cleaning supplies, open spices, and hazmat materials (oil, grease, WD-40, pretty much anything in an aerosol can, ammunition, etc.) can NOT be shipped. You either have to dispose of them, give them away, or sell them, and then replace it once you get to your new "home". Always a garage sale going on near a military base. I am an exception, most military don't get moved that often. I worked with a Army E-9 that once he was through training, he was stationed to Ft. Bragg, NC and spend the remainder of his 27 years there. I will admit I was a little envious of his boat, gun collection, tools, utility trailer and ridding lawn mower.
@Alanschmalzried4 жыл бұрын
No reason to feel ashamed about having things spread about the garage and shed. I started building my shop at home in June ‘17...I’m just now getting things moved from the attached garage at the house to the new building. 2 1/2 years of constant work on the building has gotten me to the point where I’ve wanted to be for a long time. I too have found it very satisfying to do spring cleaning and organizing.

That hilarious because we did the same thing last year. The county we live in had a “cleanup day” where they scheduled a truck with a boom to go out and pick up large trash that people just wanted to clean out of their house. So we got the JD 2038R and picked up a sleeper sofa and took it to the curb for them to pick up.
