이사배 선배님 seems like such an beautiful soul. Her art is so effortless and I loved watching her do Felix's makeup. It was also interesting seeing how Felix is like in the Makeup chair as it is something that I find intriguing as I compare to other people I have done make up on. It was also so fascinating to see how the korean makeup artists do their makeup and how it differs to what is usual in Australia in the entertainment industry, with techniques or even just the style of makeup alone. Are there any other makeup videos I should check out or try on myself?

Risabae is a makeup artist, used to be special fx make up artist, model and beauty company ceo. She is the OG for S.Korea beauty/makeup influencer. There's an episode of her on Omnicient Interfering View episode 315 a korean variety show there you will know more about her. And I love the look she do for Felix.

its so cool to see her be such an OG in the beauty space, you can just see her understanding of the products and how to put makeup on another person's face. I'd love to meet her one day

The whole video was basically felix lightheartedly flirting with risabae, it was very cute and funny to watch 🥰😅 It's really interesting to hear you talk about make up and about your practices as a make up artist, i always learn something new. Now that you mentioned it, i've seen a lot of kpop idols with sties. Maybe it's got to do with the things you mentioned (like using the same mascara) but of course there could be many other reasons, it was just a thought that popped up in my mind.

I hope to see all the guys do videos like this more often because I feel like we can see other sides to them with how they interact with people. And yeah, I've noticed that too that idols get more sties than other celebs, but I don't know if it might be from having to work so much in makeup, using contact lenses alot with makeup or just combination of everything. But I'll be getting my makeup done in Korea so I will report back on what the practice is!

There's a lot of popular make up youTuber from South Korea but Risabae is the OG. I remember seeing her and Pony's content a lot way back 2nd gen 3rd gen days lmao I'm old omgg. You pulled both the exact 2 pcs that I'm hoping to get! and in a single copy what!!!? 😭

It would be a major missed opportunity if Felix doesn't cosplay as Legolas from The Lord of the Rings. Already has the long blonde hair. Also his whole look from the Met Gala with the white suit and how his hair was styled, very much reminded me of that character.

32:40 you were talking about using a mirror while doing makeup on other people to check symmetry/if things look right, i just wanted to add that this is a common thing done in art (drawing/painting) as well!! i do digital art and i’ll often completely reverse my canvas to check how a piece is turning out. it’s always surprising how some mistakes are glaringly obvious but only after you change your perspective, that advice feels applicable in a lot of situations 💛 so fun to watch this with you!

She was one of the first Korean makeup artists I followed, I think it was even before I met SKZ. As far as I know she was an idol makeup artist. And I loved seeing Felix interacting in this way 🤭 After this I think she said that the camera doesn't do justice to Felix's beauty✨️

You didnt mention it in the video but which look did you like better on felix? The angel concept or the devil concept? I personally liked the darker concept more idk what it is it just fits his face better in my opinion. I didnt really like the overemphasis of his aegyosal on the first one it made his eyes look smaller. But I really loved the jewels. It's so interesting to hear about this stuff! Especially the sanitization part. I never really thought about how you would have to use a different applicator/product for every person and you can't really put it in the product again, though now that you said it it makes sense lol. I'm really curious about korean MUAs that do idols' makeup since they have to consider what it looks like on different stage lightings but also the camera. I wonder how that would work for concerts? Felix does wear blue contacts during concerts sometimes and I always wonder what the use for that is, since you cant really see/notice it from the crowd? I feel like thats such a hassle and would probably be uncomfortable when you're sweating and stuff (or crying in felixs case lmao). Chan recently got styes on both eyes and even had to get them cut bc of how bad they were :( I wish they'd take the sanitization more seriously bc that's insaneee

ooooohhhh I really like the angel concept because he looked so ethereal but I would have done the crystals differently and asymmetrical in a staggered disperse. I loved the devil concept though but would have done different tattoos. I missed that Chan got them in both eyes! That's crazy, I had my first one ever recently and it took months for it to go away, while it wasn't contagious anymore it just took forever to leave. They do seem to take the sanitisation seriously but from what I have seen just lacking in that product usage on people. Again, though, I don't know if she then gifted the products to him or gave them to his artist if they have dedicated products that go on the eyes for him. But I will find out soon when I go get my makeup done in Korea ^^

In Korean culture the king of the underworld isn’t a devil. It’s still a dark concept, but more a noble or royal idea. King Yeomra is in charge of the afterlife. Being baby Yeomra would confer a noble, powerful idea, but not devilish. I loved his Yeomra look, it emphasized his eyes better.

Omg I’m not good at makeup or anything but I remember being told the do your worst hand first for your eyeliner by my sister (whose significantly better at makeup than me lol) but for whatever reason that made it worse. I do much better doing the wing with my better hand first I think because I know what angle I did. It’s good advice for sure it’s just crazy it didn’t work for me (or maybe it turns out that my better hand is my worse hand) great video very interesting to hear tidbits from someone who does make up for a career.

Thanks for talking about the hygiene aspect ...l watched the original video and was thinking about that ..l dont like makeup artists using the product from the back of their hand

yeah I get that...good artists wash and sanitise their hands thoroughly because sometimes using the back of the hand is unavoidable like for warming up a products etc but for the most part most products, in my experience anyway we use a metal palette.
