Unbelievable. Your pen didn't lift off the paper that entire time your flower was drawn...I would have had to draw, erase and draw and erase a million times. Your work is impeccable. I'm new to this hobby and I have so much to learn. Confidence being the most important thing of all.

You are just so relaxing to watch. The music to support your pen is perfect. Do you have titles of the music, so we can use it while making our tangles? Thank you for sharing your work.

The music is royalty free music from the KZbin studio. I’ll try to get a list of the tracks I used and will post them in the description, under the video.
@TracyAnneWilkinson2 жыл бұрын
I will get the full list of music tomorrow but I do often use tracks composed by Aakash Gandhii. If you search for him on KZbin you will find that he has a KZbin channel which features his music.

I have now added the music to my description under the video. Here is a the full list - Music used in this video: Whispering Stream - E's Jammy James Frolic - E's Jammy James Timeless - Lauren Duski Lifting Dreams - Aakash Gandhi Twinkle in the night - Aakash Gandhi Waterfall - Aakash Gandhi

Este video es especial para esta epoca del año en mi pais. Ya que comienza la primavera. Asi agradecida por publicar este proyecto. El fondo lo pintaste con acuarela?
@TracyAnneWilkinson2 жыл бұрын
I did initially paint the drawing with watercolour pencils but it looked muddy because I painted over the pencil shading. I took a photo of the drawing then painted it digitally in procreate using watercolour brushes. Watercolour would work but I would recommend erasing the pencil first.

Hi what the ties you use and where could i get them from thank you 12:19
@TracyAnneWilkinson Жыл бұрын
the small tiles are Zentangle’s bijou tiles and the final tile is a 3” x 3” square Zentangle tile. These can be purchased on the Zentangle website… Zentangle.com

This is just what I was looking for recently. Thank you. Do you have any hints for making petals uniform, what i mean by that is, I have trouble when doing petals, in getting them even remotely the same in the same flower head. In fact in life in general I never seem to be able to replicate anything exactly. Is the secret just persistent trial and error and practice or is there a trick. I will admit that when doing tangles in Procreate, if I get something looking the way I want then I sometimes cheat and duplicate it rather than get annoyed with myself for being a dud. I am not new to Tangles but I haven’t perfected it for sure. Thanks.
@TracyAnneWilkinson2 жыл бұрын
I suppose practice helps. The great thing about flowers is that petals don’t need to be perfectly the same. If you were drawing a typical daisy style flower, you could start by drawing a light circle with a pencil. - This way the petals will be the same length. To get them a similar width or evenly spaced, put some dots around that circle again in pencil. Now you have a guide for making the petals more even. While practicing, drawing in pencil roughly first, then going over it in pen is helpful. It’s not exactly the Zentangle way but Zentangle is traditionally non representational. Many artists do a rough sketch in pencil then gradually refine this sketch until you get a more polished result.

So pretty and what a wonderful idea. 💛 How did you do the background? Did you color each square?
@TracyAnneWilkinson2 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure if you watched the end of the video but I demonstrate how I drew all the flowers interlaced on a lattice. Once I finished this drawing I painted the full tile. I didn’t colour each of the small tiles.
@susan444412 жыл бұрын
I am enjoying this project. I put the lattice in my 6' square art book and am adding flowers and vines. What did you use to paint the green background? I may try my water-soluble colored pencils for this project. I am learning so much from you on my new art journey. Thank you!

@@TracyAnneWilkinson Thank you! Since I have done all the shading, I will leave it alone and consider it finished. I am quite happy with all I learned from this project. In future projects, I will leave off the shading if I am planning to add color.

What supplies do we use to add color?
@TracyAnneWilkinson Жыл бұрын
you can colour this however you want. I actually took a photo of my tile and then coloured it digitally in procreate on my iPad. if using traditional mediums I would suggest colour before shading .
@machelleshappyhobbies4977 Жыл бұрын
@@TracyAnneWilkinson ok thank you. I guess I'm really trying to figure out what mediums work best to add color to my tangles.
@TracyAnneWilkinson Жыл бұрын
Watercolour pencils are easy or even watercolours. I did this but on top of the shading and it looked muddy. That’s why I ended up colouring it digitally.

Tracey can I buy Zentangle supplies from you in Australia?
@TracyAnneWilkinson8 ай бұрын
sorry, I don’t do much tangling these days. The freight from the US is very expensive. There is a lady who lives in Cairns who does sell Zentangle supplies. her name is Yvonne Rein and she has a Facebook group called Yintangles. it’s a great group and they have a zoom meeting once a month. if you join this group, you will find all the information you need about buying Zentangle materials here in Australia.
