Preference share: same as common stock. These are preferred as they get a fixed rate of dividend. Cumulative preferred shared: their dividend payment gets cumulated. The unpaid dividend get paid+ history dividend get paid together. Redeemable preference shared:common share never get redeemed. RPS can be redeemed by issuer. RPS paid 8% dividend. Convertible preference sahre: can be converted to equity at predetermined swap ratio. ADR: ADR are traded at nyse. A custodian bank is involved which hold large portion of security and issues ADR against it. Which are denominated in USD. Everything which is applicable on common stock is applicable on adr. Equity is of two type private and listed. PRIVATE EQUITY is unlisted and hold by large investor such as founder, investor. LISTED EQUITY: it is listed on exchange by the processs of IPO in primary market. On exchange trader by or sell listed equity.
