I put one up for Logan Gilbert and the cubs. Alcantara, Hoerner, J Rojas and either Wicks or Assad... it works the cubs have what it takes to get GILBERT

Twins would never do that. Caisse 13:42 13:42 or Ballesteros would have e to be included. Twins have Brooks Lee ticketed for 2B. He was drafted just after Horton in 2022, and already made the big leagues last year. I think we’re dreaming here, tbh.

I think Caissie is close to untouchable for me right now because of the uncertainty of Tucker extending. Ballesteros is definitely one of my untouchables

@SetupManCubs caissie , Ballesteros, Horton, and Shaw are untouchable. Unless it's Mason Miller. But for all practical purposes those 4 are untouchable.

I love the Castillo and Munoz trade for Nico plus prospects. A solid #2 and a young closer who is just 25 years old and will only make $3.5M in 2025. Munoz also has reasonable club options through 2028.

The one I like best was Kevin Alcantara, Ballesteros and Assad for Sandy Alcantra. Kevin Alcantra's shelf life as a prospect won't last forever, Ballesteros is short, slow and can't play defense and Assad couldn't get out of the 4th inning in most of his starts last year.

Slight variation o f one I've proposed before. 3 team trade between Cubs, Red Sox, and Twins. Cubs send Nico to Red Sox and send Horton, Alcantara, Wicks and Birdsell to Twins. Sox send Arais and Sandlin to Twins. Twins send Lopez and Duran to Cubs. Considered a minor overpay, but when compared to price for 1 year of Tucker, it's fair. Cubs then bring in Bregman to man 3B and Shaw at 2B
