So in regards to that equation, isnt the result of 85 points, not ticks? Why is he multiplying it by 4? Isn’t he supposed to divide it by 4 to get to the number of ticks, as in the previous slide he multiplied the ticks by 4 to get a point...

So, points are to the left of the decimal and ticks are to the right (just like 1 dollar is to the left of 1 cent). So it takes 340 ticks to make 85 points, just as it takes 100 cents to make 1 dollar.

Learn options on futures, which allow for better loss mitigation, whilst also providing greater % ROI yields. You also don't have to be concerned with initial and maintenance margin requirements, which enable you to hold overnight, if necessary--purely for the price of the paid premium (when buying options) 🏦🤙

I have been watching and studying FUTURE TRADE with intrigue for a few years now as I have watched its benefits value 🪜 daily. What intimidated me about it though was how to buy, engage and study the timing . When I learned about it, it was a no brainer. The Fund buys the future investment exposure for me. The future investment is secured in more rewarding custody to execute more gains. And if I need to sell it at any time it is quick and with no Capital Gains losses. The way I see it is I get all the upsides of investment with none of the downsides.

The strategies are quite rigorous for the regular. As a matter of fact, they are mostly successfully carried out by pros who have had a great deal of skillset/knowledge to pull such trades off.

Great stuff Mat. I have been trading futures for many years, yet still found this session helpful. I would only add two points: (1) I have never seen Night margin but I am pretty sure it's not maintenance. It's probably the margin required by some brokers for after hours futures trading. (2) Brokers do not really make a phone call unless your account is in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. You will get a message in the account or email if there is a margin call. Also, for most accounts, funds get taken out of your margin/cash account balance, you don't need to do anything, unless there is no cash left in account.

One of the best video ive ever seen that explain cleary, i know its 2 years already but a follow up or maybe a part2 of this would nice, talking about brokerage or how to get started after learning the basic of futures.

Thanks for the feedback Toxic. Glad you found the video valuable. Not sure that we have a followup in the tank.. with brokers changing all the time, that would have to be a bi annual update! As for strategies, any price action strategy or price action strategy is valid as a trading method in futures.

Awesome spread of products. Also you can trade forex "pairs" via their futures contract. /6J /6B pretty good for liquidity.
