It's for people who don't understand cryptocurrency. You can't just paste "I have 5000 BTC" in a textpad and have it be true. The blockchain verifies if that's true or not. You can take a screenshot of that porcupine NFT and say "I OWN A $50,000 NFT", but you can't prove it authentically or not. (I could make another NFT that looks 99.9% the same.) It really makes no sense.

I can’t necessarily say the NFT will fail. Pyramid schemes work for at least some time. I have to say that I think this is not just a bad idea but it is also morally wrong. Just because you can convince someone that something worthless is worth money doesn’t mean that you should actually do it.
