BTW, my pandemic food project was to get a Korean soy milk maker. I make 2 quarts of black soybean milk every week while I also pressure cook a big batch of seitan. It is pale lavender from the black bean...but so cheap and easy. I pour the hot strained milk into wide mouth mason jars and cap with lid and ing. I leave on the counter for 30 minutes to cool then into the fridge. They end up sealing without a hot water bath...but always store in fridge. They last 7 to 10 days. Less packaging and fewer chemicals from that packaging too.

@@yvichenj333 I would say it's less creamy than store bought soy milk and it has more sediment but I'm not super fastidious about straining my milk. I don't notice a difference in taste between black or regular soybean milk.

Trader Joe’s is my go to for oriental lillies, cashews, tofu, tempeh, smoked paprika, almond milk, and low sodium veggie broth, vegan ice cream cones and vegan ice cream sandwiches, and much more! I love the whole wheat lavash. I used to get it, heat it over a flame, and use it to make lentil/cabbage wraps. One day I cut up a lavash into smaller rectangles, spritzed a tiny bit of oil and sprinkled “every but the bagel” seasoning on them. I air-fried them briefly and then used these as crispy scoops for red lentil curry, hummus, and split pea soup. Now I don’t even use oil. I brush aquafaba on them instead and change up the spices almost every time. It’s so good!

My favorite at Trader Joe’s is their organic garbonzo beans (aka Chickpeas). It’s only about 89 cents a can. I use them in a variety of casseroles and stir fries. With grocery costs going up, these garbonzo beans are a healthy and nutritious alternative.

I always try to grab one of their riced cauliflower & veggie bags while I'm there (they have a Mexican inspired one and an Asian inspired one) for a quick weeknight meal later in the week when I'm too lazy to think about food or cook much. Just throw that together with some tofu or beans and some rice & I have a well-rounded meal in only 20ish minutes!

In addition to the items you mentioned my favorites are their spices, trail mix, Japanese rice, rice like to add veggies and mushrooms, samosas (especially when the pumpkin one are in season) flowers, plants, tortilla chips, canned beans it’s one of our weekly stops. Fig Butter. Roasted Red Bell Peppers in a jar. Thai curry roasted cashews. Pound Plus chocolate bars for truffling (may contain eggs, nuts, and milk, though.) The pasta nests right next to your fave noodles (but they are soooo messy to eat.) I drive an hour and a half one way to my nearest TJ's, so I only go a couple times a year. I love your style and ideas, too!

I love TJ’s and go regularly. My fav products are: the soy milk (usually buy 6 at a time), the firm tofu (it’s the best-the only tofu that I really love), the organic pink lady apples (the best tasting apple), the peanut butter (best ever)!

I've been shopping at TJ's for nearly 20 years. Some of my go to products that I get nearly every week are, Soyrizo, Bulgogi, Kimbap, Ravioli, Pesto, Chimichirri, Zoug Sauce, Peri Peri Sauce, Peanut Butter Caramel, Popcorn, Takis, Tater Tots, Bagels, English Muffins, pizza dough, Bananas, Sweet Potatoes and various squash when they're huge (since they sell them Ea and not by LB), Green Onion Pancake, Gochujang, Plain Cashew Yogurt, TJ's Brand La Croix, and lately those addicting cheeze it knockoffs. All Vegan and I may not have gotten the names correct. I just grab what I know and go.

Aldi & Trader Joe owners were brothers and allegedly had a falling out when they initially started. So the split became Aldi., conventional foods, and Trader Joe, more organic, but not fully. I love Trader Joe’s and find their staff exceptional. OK, I purchase their tofu, tempeh, soy milk, flowers, creamy cashew yogurt, sparkling water (plain) or lemon, alkaline water, balsamic vinaigrette, Thai wheat noodles, love, love, love, the Sriracha Roasted Garlic BBQ Sauce, Indian Fare Tikka Vegetables, Indian Fare Yellow Tadka Dal, and one or two others, buy few veggies as they are pre-packaged, so only onions, peppers, sometimes fresh cut pineapples, bananas, sometimes Beefless Ground, walnuts, and on occasion popcorn with herbs & spices. I also belong to a co-op and purchase a few products there along with supplements, but the co-op is extremely costly, shop at Mom’s, which I also love, but much higher but I love their selection of fresh kale & collards, organic mushrooms, never Whole Foods as an employee revealed disturbing info about the products. Probably other purchases at TJ, but can not think of them at the moment. I enjoy your videos and do have a wonderful robust Fall! Shalom Shalom!

Their dried baby bananas are delicious! I always get two bags. So sweet and chewy. I love TJ’s. I shop at Aldi more often because it’s closer but I was just there over the weekend and now I want to go back lol. Will def need to try the whip cream. Their vegan butter and heavy cream are also great! Also the Thai green curry (frozen) is yummy.

While not the healthiest, some of my favorite TJ's items are their Everything Bagel Ciabatta bread, spicy Vegan Mexican Cheese Shreds, cream cheese, Vegan cheddar crackers and Pizza crackers. I also loved their Vegan Caramelized Onion dip, but they stopped carrying it (at least my location).

Their plain cashew yogurt is really good if you haven’t tried it! Their tempeh and jar of roasted red peppers are the cheapest I’ve seen anywhere. Kimbap tofu rice veggie roll (frozen) is delicious. Also the frozen chocolate covered bananas or strawberries are so good! Oh yeah the vegan poke is good too! There is a vegan brioche too but I haven’t tried it yet.

First of your posts I've seen and well done! The bread is great but kind of like cardboard. I eat whole wheat bread but a fluffier brand. I buy the organic chili - it's the bomb, the jalapeno olives and jalapeno chix sausage, hold the cones mini ice cream cones, plain (no natural chemical flavs) sparkling water and the choc ice cream in the big pkg is super rich = almost like Haagen Daz. They have grape vine wraps in the can they have r ice inside the grape leaves. The best anytime food. They vegan meat balls are good try a meat ball sub with vegan cheese.

I also LOVE TJ! I think you are missing out on some great priced produce, the potatoes are priced per each one, the Japanese sweet potatoes are huge and so much less than anywhere else. Also the onions and regular white potatoes and orange sweet potatoes also priced per potato, so get the biggest.And the bananas are priced per banana so find the biggest ones and it such a deal. And none are in plastic. And the gem lettuce is so sweet and cute. Try the frozen peppers and onions too, so fast to prepare and oil and salt free.

I like Trader Joe's. I am mindful of what to say, though, about prices. Because as soon as I do mention the good price, it goes up. I forgot about the Ezekiel bread! But I can bet where I live it probably is almost 8 dollars like the big-name chain stores. I will have to check. But just this weekend I went. I love their Green Goddess and 21 Seasoning Salute Seasoning. The Barbeque Potatoe Chips, but I do not see these anymore. I used to buy dried fruit there, but the bags decreased in size, and the price increased. The Hashbrown patties, Sardines, I am mostly plant based but I still eat meat here and there still learning the ropes on alternative choices for protein as tofu I am still navigating . And I love the Kezi/Kwanzi apples 🍎 😋 I can not wait until those hit the shelf!!!

I haven’t tried it but they have a carton of vegan whipping cream very curious about that! I wonder if you can use it as heavy cream?!?
