@@StatOasis #1 - thanks for a quick response. Unfortunately it doesn't answer the question. I fully understand that TS has Separate accounts for the various entities. That wasn't the question. How do I run a forex portfolio in Portfolio Maestro? Also, I was looking at the PM Asset class. I only see equities and futures. even when I choose futures, I still only get equities. I'm an active trader and understand the various instruments - Forex, Futures, stocks, ETFs, Options, etc.... So I guess I have two questions. 1) = how to get forex symbols into PM? 2) how to get futures symbols into PM? thanks

Tradestation software is not the same for forex, crypto, stocks, and futures. so if you have a forex account with tradestation (I don't trade forex) and you can open PM, then you can trade a portfolio of forex strategies. loading symbols in PM, running strategies, is beyond this comment section, just ask TS customer support and they will guide you.

it should, but I never used it, the product is 15 years old, very clunky.

You can automate each strategy separately, or use multichart portfolio trader

When you look at the S&P 100 test, is it the current time's S&P 100 list? Or is it historical constituents of the S&P 100? If it is the current year's S&P 100 applied to those previous years, you could understand why it would show such a large return given that it is capturing all those stocks that were small and worked their way up to the S&P 100 at the time of your test.

you are correct, survival bias is there as the data does not have all stocks.

That is too bad that tradestation does not provide lists that are free from survivorship bias. Makes this less useful as a stock trading portfolio tool but might still be useful for futures.

Hi Ali!, can I set a fixed capital to each strategy group? I mean, let's say I have 100K, and I want to split it to 2 strategies groups, each will work with dedicated 50K. can it be done? (didn't find a way to do so..)

Yes you can do it, either by code inside strategy or by creating different group inside portfolio

I hope Tradestation makes It easier for people outside of US (I'm AUS) to deposit $$$ Seems to be a hassle and have to go to my bank to sort it out (haven't yet done), Debit cards are the best and hope they're working on this :)

reinstall latest TS, and delete old data, make sure to backup your strategies and indicators first.

I really enjoyed your video, and especially your clear understanding of the fact that TradeStation has stopped developing its products, and really makes terrible decisions about its interfaces. BUT I HAVE QUESTION? Can you show us how to use Portfolio Manager with 3rd Party Data, such as a tab-delimited TXT file for something like ETHUSD? I have a ETHUSD file that opens properly in TS Charts, but I do not know how to use it in Portfolio Maestro. THANKS IN ADVANCE!

you can use PM on anything built in TS. so you can import your ETHUSD text/csv file into TS. when looking for symbol/click on add and point it to the csv file. once data in TS then you can build any strategy on it and of course import that into PM.
