The Evo carbon fiber hood was about $800+ unless they get some sort of discount.....On a flip, if the hood paint was trashed or hood dented. I could see how just buying a cf hood would be a win win especially if you could find a used one for much cheaper.

The nice thing about these video's is that naïve people believe that shit. :) And make fun of them. The only one that would have made a profit is probably the BMW. The Subaru probably not. All in all just little to no profit if you take in account parts + labor. But hey, the video with 342K views makes a lot more money. Did you know??? That's where the MONEY is at. Not at trading it up.

After watching Samcrac videos of salvage yard auction Ferrari builds. I think their best bet would be to- keep the body & interior but do an engine/drivetrain swap & sell the Ferrari engine/drivetrain similar to what StanceWorks did.

It also had a misfire, who knows if the last owner didn't have any clue of how to fix that and thought the car was as good as a shell. But the prices are probably fake

Ultimate compound is okay but it's oil-based so whenever using a buffer don't use too much of it otherwise it just slings off everywhere and it's really hard to get off specifically trim. And ultimate compound is not the ultimate solution for the headlights because it just goes away with time and the headlights keep yellowing so it's a never-ending battle on keeping your headlights clear instead you could just do that and then ceramic coat them

that method of restoring headlights makes them fog up again within a few months if not weeks, you have to re-apply clearcoat to the plastic after sanding down.

Use CeraKote c series on you next build. Great for the manifolds, turbines, exhaust, and brakes. Clear coat over it to get a shine, but note the clear reduces its heat.

Nice. Back to the used BMW standard. Beautiful and shiny on the outside and oil soaked shiny on the bottom. I would know. I've had one for the last 6 years and adding a quart of oil every 3 months is much cheaper and lazier than the alternative. Not worth pulling down the entire front rack down for a RMS. Yay AWD! Do love my e90 tho.

2:31 Old valve gasket. I got me a question for ye. Did that old valve gasket used to be flexible like the new one? I always think plastic goes harder after a while. I got a BMW myself gotta do some repairs so I'm asking.

Yes it's a really common thing on old BMW's that are neglected. The gaskets on some of them can be 20-30 years old because the owners don't know to service their cars and the rubber gets hard and crusty. For gaskets to have a seal they have to be flexible to create a proper seal.
