The algorithm got me haha. Hope you have fun in the TCG. I'm in the same boat, got back into pokemon from watching blunder, shofu, and pokeaim's smogon vids back in ORAS/SM around 2016. VGC just doesn't hit the same as singles for me. TCG is definitely a good time though, good luck man.

I am starting to realize the TCG is a more wholesome experience that the broken games we've ben getting lately. In the card game you actually see new faces from time to time, and is generally better balanced.

Yea that’s definitely a pro for me and the community was so welcoming like I always thank my guy at my shop for helping me learn and progress in higher levels of play. Made some new friends I wouldn’t have without the TCG it’s been great

I too am a dad and also a Pokemon Unite content creator, but have been dabbling in TCG in my personal time lately and been enjoying it. Looking forward to see more of it! Best of luck with the transition!

I wish I had a squad for unite it was so much fun 🤣 TCG for me was like falling down rabbit hole. My kid started collecting and we both learned together. He comes with me to the card shops and plays with other kids too haha

Honestly As Someone Who Never Played The Pokemon TCG And a Little Bit On VGC In 2018 On Showdown And As a For Now Retired YuGiOh Player I Understand Your Opinion On Retiring VGC And Starting Something New,, We All Lose Interest On Stuff With Time Specifically If You Play Those Things For a Long Time, Hope You Enjoy The Pokemon TCG

I think it makes sense to switch to the tcg due to how it's easier to get into and requires far less knowledge to do well in. Seriously, all the crap you need to learn for the vgc is so complicated, it's why I've been afraid to step in. With the tcg, it's far easier to learn how the decks work, and since decks are more limited in what all is required means you won't need to have as much knowledge to even consider becoming competitive.

Good for you. I belive that the TCG community is one of healthiest competitive communities in Pokémon. Not saying that the people in the VGC community are bad, but they have a certain lack of integrity.

I love the tcg, im doing sacramento regionals in october. TCG overall just feel more worth it when it comes to practicing and interactions with friends and oppoenents.

Yea I feel that cause going to the shops and going to places around me I’d never thought I’d go to has been mad fun, don’t really have a VGC scene around here unless it’s regionals. Good luck in Sac! I’m trying to go to Toronto or LA 🤞🏾🤞🏾
