We are barely making it week to week, but finding away for my son to pick up one or two $3 shiny Pokémon cards, his smile and appreciation makes me feel like a rich man. God bless

I did a few shows in FL in the 90s when on holiday from the UK including a Mall in Sarasota can’t recall that Mall name but I do recall going to the Countryside Mall which I think was north of Tampa off the 60… I also did Belz Outlet in Orlando. Happy days indeed

We have probably crossed paths I grew up in Bradenton and went to every card show that ever came to the malls.... Sarasota square.... DeSoto square mall....was always a blast and really what got me started in the collecting world!!!! We're talking 80s-90s

Why aren't collectors checking patches to see if they are game worn or player worn? I think there is a HUGE difference in value between those two types of patches.

Player Worn is better than this is not associated any gane or event. I think because of Pandemic it's harder to get gane worn materials ect.

@@ceottolino I totally get that thinking. But anything that isn't game worn I instantly think of the photo of Mark Ingram with multiple #80 jerseys on to get them "player worn". Unless its a game used patch, I rather have no patch.

Retired players I sure it's harder to get game worn Materials so I'm fine with player used or worn, but honestly if your looking for value what matters most is that a Patch is Sexy. It can be gane worn all white no color and I'll take the Patch that's player Worn with 4 colors anyday as long as there is an AUTO on the card too. Patches without Autos are so so

Geoff - please do a cover on 1991 Topps Desert Shield in psa 10. These cards have stayed recession proof. The closed auctions speak for themselves.

There are also a decent amount of Desert Shield cards that have been certified by PSA/BGS/etc. as authentic but are in fact fake. I think that would be more interesting to look into than just the value.

@@chiwhitesox7 agreed. Having a sharp eye on the differences between a graded fake and authentic grade is critical to know. 1991 Topps DS is one of the top counterfeit cards out there due to its limited run & history.
