Shez, I don't know if anyone has told you but if you get paper from sugarcane and use that to lock in your trades with your villages. Not quite as expensive as emeralds that you may not have at the time.

If you place a carpet on top of the fences, you can hop in and out of your villager breeder but the villagers won't be able to. The risk of opening a gate is a villager escaping. Carpets will stop them from doing that

Shez, some of my villages that I didn't need "accidently" rolled in a minecart into lava. Then some were pushed "accidently into lava and I didn't get a bad rap from the other villagers. Because it was just an "unfortunate accident''.

Just caught up with this series, love it❤. Plenty of laughs and beautiful builds. A handy trick for endermen is place a boat or get under a 2 block high ledge. I like the trading hall!! Also... if you want to keep their trades you can do either of the 2 trades they have and it will keep the enchanted book. If they are asking for 24 paper for an emerald you can do that trade to lock it in if you don't have the emeralds or want to save them.

you'd be better off just setting up a sugar cane farm nearby, craft it into paper, and do the paper trade with the villagers when you want to lock in their trades. Also, if you zombify your villagers and cure them (after locking in their trade) that villager will give you a big discount forever, making those expensive books much cheaper.

(yes i know im 3 weeks late btw) while yes, you can combine enchanted books (ie looting 1 to get looting 3) imo the price of the trade you locked in wasnt worth it as you would need 48 emeralds for looting 3 (4 looting 1 books to get both looting 2 books needed to make looting 3) and you can just find a looting 3 book for the same price as the looting 1 book you locked in :D (im bad writing so please dont see this as hate, just a tip i thought might help in the future :D ps love the series)

The reason the first villager wasn't becoming a librarian is it can't learn a job at night.

The numeral next to enchantment is the enchantment level. The higher level an enchantment is, the better it is (sharpness V does far more damage than sharpness I). The feather falling you got just so happens to be the highest level. Not all have levels, like mending, which is the most sought after book.

I'm still catching up on these videos so I'm not sure if you have done this yet....get yourself FLETCHERS, you need a fletching table. They give you emeralds for sticks. Also look up how to zombify and heal your villagers for CHEAP trades =]

Funny i spend hours and hours, to get the max enchant i need, and made sure they were cheap ones lol, have game on hard mode, then i get a zombie to attak the villager, cure him and get the books for one emerald

Seen a video by Disruptive Builds where he built an archery range and put a villager there where you can trade Sticks for Emeralds. Fire enchant on a sword cooks your food when killing animals which can save on fuel costs.

If you’re on Java, the axe for some reason does better in fights than some swords. I play bedrock so it’s all sword for fights.

On Java you get swipe for swords, so hits more then one target, so good for big groups, like exp mob farms.

little tip for the villager trading, maybe you know this but if you have a zombie turn you villager into a zombie, then you splash the villager with a weakness potion & give the villager a golden apple it will reduce the price. you can do this multiple times to get it for practically free

I’d keep trying on the villager trades. It’s a pain in the butt and takes a long time sometimes but it’s worth it to just get looting 3 or whatever the highest level of that enchantment is. You’ll get it eventually.

Remove all lecterns from the trading hall before moving the villagers. They were not taking the job because they were fixed in a lectern somewhere else in the trading hall other than the one in front of them. Add them as you go along with the villagers
