"So friends, in this video, we primarily looked at three reasons related to the mentality of traders and investors.
In the first point, we initially explained the P/E equation and then observed that investors mainly focus on a company's earnings. On the other hand, a trader's primary focus is on the overall market sentiment, i.e., mostly on people's emotions.
In the second point, we took an example of you and your friend. If both of you perform a fundamental analysis of a company and find out that the company's earnings are going to increase, despite that, you made more money because you bought shares at a lower P/E ratio. That's why investors prefer buying shares based on the P/E ratio so that they can benefit from it. Similarly, traders also look at earnings reports, but their main reason is once again to see how earnings will affect people's emotions. This is why they want to use these emotions for price prediction.
In the third point, we discussed that many people suggest that in the beginning, one should start trading to increase their initial capital and then, later on, they can invest, as even prominent figures like Rakesh Jhunjhunwala and Vijay Kedia have done. Regardless of what they say, this is true to some extent, which is why I presented the thoughts of great investors before you. Ultimately, we all have to decide for ourselves.
