I would like to see this challenge again with more modern games that GameStop has a higher likelihood of taking. I feel like their trade values have gotten better in recent years (for the games they actually take) so it would be cool to see a rematch with more modern games (like Xbox 360 & newer)

Figured it was going to go that way with GameStop. However, GameStop does pay a lot for certain games. I have done the math and they pay more than after eBay fees and shipping for some games. I save those for when they bump the values up 50% or more and that's how I get my games for the year for free.

The GameStop outcome went as predicted lol first store I thought was a little low considering you had some pretty decent genesis stuff in there, but their prices for buying at least seemed fair (I mean $8 for Pokémon gold is a bit beyond fair… 😂). But the pawn shop was where it’s at. They were awesome. Building a relationship with my local pawn shop has been *invaluable* to me growing my collection,. I recommend any collectors or resellers do the same, as displayed here. They don’t always offer the best cash value at mine, but they always work with me on prices when I buy and trades are always fair as can be. Love me a good pawn shop man lol this was a great video boys 😉

you could technically do this with just one stack telling the first place you dont want to sell them to test the 2nd placew with same games. Heres the secret: When selling a stack of media you always ask for indivigual prices. These places give you a bundle price when some items are only 20 cents or so.

I like game exchange in Texas where I live they have a big selection but they don’t pay even 30% for high end GameCube games I took a very valuable GameCube collection all mint condition. A indigo purple system with 2 matching Nintendo brand controllers also indigo. A wave bird platinum controller with receiver and 20 games and most of them on eBay sell for over $60 the best game I had was fire emblem path of radiance complete, 3 Mario party’s, Zelda master collection, a Canadian variant of Mario sunshine, double dash and smash bros and they offered me $88 cash and $104 store credit needless to say I didn’t take it. I’ll just keep it I though they would offer at least $200 but I was so wrong.

Not really that, it's more because it's a specialized pawn shop who understands what the value of all these types of items are worth. You walk into your standard pawnshop and ya, you might get couple bucks at most if you are lucky per game, if they are not old. Like what pawn shop would just randomly have a vintage empty booster box?

@projectauto7560 would you let go of 250 worth of games for 60 bucks that's unlikely and u say yes your just lying to yourself we are not the reason stores need to make money it's in the repeat customers low prices and good relationships that keep business open not low balling and coming up that what's wrong with shit like this greed over everything THATS WRONG if a restraunt offers free soda with burger purchase they gain million more in repeat customers than charging whatever and hoping for the return 💯
@projectauto7560
@projectauto7560 Жыл бұрын
@@jnothingbutthebest8228 I buy to resell on eBay for a living. $250 for 50 games is only valuing these games at $5 a game so they’re mostly low dollar games. Low dollar games can be really hard to sell online. I currently have 200-300 low dollar games I need to get rid of that I got in larger lots with game systems so I have practically $0 into them. I primarily sell on eBay so it’s not worth it to sell a $5 game. By the time I pay $3.50-$4 on shipping for each game plus my fees and shipping materials I’m making less than 50 cents a game so in that case I’d gladly get rid of 50 of them for $65. A business can only make money if they make considerably more than what they pay for inventory. A retail store has more overhead than I have. They have to pay employees, ridiculous building rent, utilities, etc. If a retail store pays what an item is worth how are they supposed to make money? Let’s be realistic, most customers are not going to pay considerably more money than an item is worth just to buy it at a particular store they like. Especially in todays economy. For most customers it’s all about getting the best deal. As a business you can’t offer great deals unless you get inventory cheap. If you pay what an item is worth and give a great deal on it then you’ll be out of business in a month. I’m curious how you would run a profitable business. If you were a business what would you pay for $250 worth in games?
