I hope you’re not talking about losing and gaining 20%-25% of the size of your whole account? If that’s the case, then you need to stop trading and learn a risk management system before continuing (E.g. R-Multiples). Otherwise you will without a shadow of a doubt blow your account sooner or later.

you, have, no , idea, how badly i needed this video ross (in tears right now) i just took 2 BIG BACK TO BACK RED DAYS here, i have crossed 100k earlier this year but have been strugglign to break out for months, I took a - 24k day yesterday and 8000 today. i was up 6k on aren at 7am i shuold have walked, stayed till 4 pm and OVER TRADED myself into the red. i AM SO FRUSTRATED i threw my pen and note pad at the wall. it is so devasting because I crossed 100k about 5 times now and keep going back under by HUGE RED days
@DaytradeWarrior5 күн бұрын
Hey it sounds like you are chasing your p/l try and let go of crossing that level again and just trade what is in front of you .. if anything at all!
@Caveman7875 күн бұрын
Notice how much that $24k was of your ENTIRE account. Remember how many have stated risk NO MORE than 1% of your account on any trade. Clearly you were looking at going to far to fast. That $100k no doubt took a long time....slow down $1K every trade for 100 trades gets you there better and much more likely than risking so much to try it in a trade or 2.

I was part of Warrior and this exactly describes my June 2024 blow up that forced me out of trading until next year. Since June, I’ve been doing a deep dive on why, looking at my behaviours, pouring through records of my trades, etc. The result? The psychological/emotion needs I brought INTO trading made a deadly blind spot that crippled my best efforts, leading to a spiral. Every loss got magnified. Time away is helping me recenter and focus on the headspace I need to be in before my triumphant return! Thanks for covering this, Ross!

So, where do you guys catch the price when it's falling? For example when we had a run up and then it fails and starts going down? My experience so far is: A+: 200 EMA on 1M - almost always holds and bounces the first time price gets there A: VWAP - also bounces in most cases (but will likely fail if MACD is already closed?) B: Established strong support levels - these are 50/50 - sometimes can hold but other times not C: 1M 20 EMA, whole/half dollar - these are usually not well respected when price is falling - most of the time goes right through them Your observations?

However fortunately as a beginer trader I have followed your advice and am only doing it in a simulator so can only lose paper money. I am discovering that I can win the first micorpull back move but getting out to early and them and trading back in when i should walk out with simulated profit. I think I am going to go into virtually trading only that move to start and watching how to do the back of it for the next few days and see if this improves my virtual esults so I can watch if i can get in on the other moves with less emotion.

Someone mentioned "quantum price" couple of weeks ago - i.e. when you hold a red position that you didn't sell for some reason, the price tends to go up just 1-2 cents short of your breakeven point but never really reaches it. I can 100% confirm that's true 🙂
