Hi Tony. I am totally confused with the differences between IV Rank and IV percentile. Tastyworks trade options when IV rank is above 30, while OptionsPlay trade options when IV percentile is above 50%. When you place both these IV indicators side by side on trading view, they are complete opposites?

(I hope you're still reading these comments.) In Tom's IWM example, he first rolled in the Call leg of a strangle; when the market turned, he rolled in the Put side. That left the strangle too close for comfort to a straddle. So he recentered -- and rolled both sides out. My question is about the recentering trade. As shown, the recentering trade would have produced a significant debit. Is that what Tom intended, or would he have recentered using a later expiration date so that the trade would produce a net credit? Thanks.

At a guess, the recentering trade will be at a later expiration to gain a net credit. Makes no sense to recenter at existing expiration at a significant debit -- that trade is done and dusted, time to open a new trade.
