Don't completely discredit candlestick patterns, some are actually very useful and even more useful when combined with volume analysis. In fact, if you are trading PA, you should be analyzing volume too, if you don't already. If not, look into it, give it the time required to 'get it' and I promise your RR, PnL and win rate will increase dramatically. Even just some simple volume spread analysis. Trust. S/D zones in general tho, is definitely where it's at. But again, with volume analysis...

@@experttrader6134 your risk management must be faulty then. The higher the timeframe the bigger the SL, 1 minute charts should have about 5 to 10 pip stop loss maximum. Anything bigger than that and you’re a gambler

@@chadwilliams1815 I use structural patterns to confirm direction, remember the institutional traders place traps for retailers and they use candle stick patterns to do this, you can clearly see in this video that this trader got caught in the trap multiple times (ah price is going up here because of xyz, next moment opposite direction). If anyone wants to trade successfully they have to follow the direction of institutional traders. Those whales are the only ones who can move the markets

Hourly zones are stronger than smaller TFs , so basically trading off the H4 or daily can still be used to scalp , those zones are stronger levels basically..but I'd personally hold
