I am from India. Did dance also on stage several times. What the women are doing resemble some steps of belly dance. But the guy doing spins is mind blowing....over all I find Sri Lankan culture very very diff even though they are our geographical neighbours.

Kandyan dance southern dance sabaragamuwa dance mixture. But all dances based on religious I mean buddhism.

Sri Lankan dancing traditional resembles other South East Asian countries like Thailand and Malaysia so as it says below influenced by Buddhism Indian Classical dance influenced by Hindu and has intricate storytelling so more structured in the moves
