I have said it before and will reiterate it now. You are the greatest archer, hunter, presenter on KZbin. Since watching you, I have gone to using three fingers under, beaten my target panic, and increased my accuracy many times over. Thank you, Peter and please know that your English is superior to many Americans I have encountered, and I've been living in the USA all my life! I just returned from a 3D shoot and have never shot so well, thanks to you, Gary Chynne and Jeff Kavanagh. Men like you are changing the performance and expectations of traditional archery. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Your videos are very good! I'm realising more and more that my mind does aiming very well without me needing to think about it. Like this video says, it is the shot sequence, release, form, back tension, expansion that really matters. When you get these right the arrow goes right where you want it (mostly)

Excellent shooting. I haven't been shooting for a while, but the technique of closing the eyes while you shoot and feeling the release was what I used when my arrows started spraying. Also really focusing in on the target and putting a mental pinpoint on the target. But only on my best days could I do that well at that distance.

Thank you very much for this video Peter and explanation, i will try to use the feather touching the nose as a trigger and see what happens. You don't need to be american to speak English, and it makes you unique. There are not that many European folks that make this type of content about archery and hunting. On a side note, that Mjolner necklace rocks! Ullr would be proud of your skills

Thank you again Peter. Been considering to join Joel’s crowd for a while, you convinced me. After six years shooting Tradbows with no sights or clickers, I’m still struggling to be as consistent as I’d like. Tried about any approach out there, and find myself too often trying to focus equally hard on aiming and execution😳. Needless to say, consistency suffers 🤔 Keep up your inspiring videos 👍🤠

I agree with your considerations. if all new traditional archers started by taking Joel's course and finding a psychotrigger, there would be many more who maintained the interest instead of going back to the compound🙂

Your English is good. You speak it quite well. A fun shot challenge is to put one deer target at 20 yards, and the second deer target at 30 then arcing the arrow OVER the first deer and hitting the 2nd deer. If you are shooting 300 fps with a compound you can only hit the farthest deer high, or you will clip the first deer. Traditional equipment works quite well for this shot.

Great video and advise! I follow everything from Joël Turner to but haven’t taken the course yet. I also use feather to the nose to as a psycho trigger. Works great, only downside is fletching arrows almost feels like brain churgery to get the feather in the same space every time! 😅😅 And thanks for taking the effort for talking English, you’re doing a great job, keep them coming please!👍🏻🏹

Great shooting Peter can you give me some advice about the fingers pressure on the string. cheers and greetings from Romania
@peterjuulsgaard4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The pressure on the string is a little tricky! Because what works for me doesen´t always work for others. But I´m having about 35-40% on my index finger, 50% on my middle finger, and 10-15% on my ring finger. The most important thing is to relax in the hand it self, and the trigger(feather or clicker) will let you release as a surprise. Just do the same every time you know

the best think for a new archer is to start with a very light poundage bow or your memory muscle will be destroyed for life and you will never be able to re-train.starting with 50-55 pound bows is the biggest mistake 98% of people make. being able to pickup 100 pound weight is not same as shooting a 50 pound bow.if you're starting out don't go over 30 pounds.
@peterjuulsgaard5 жыл бұрын
You are 100% right about that. This class is not to show beginners to use a 50# bow. This class is to tell everybody that a great deal of issues have their roots in our mind. No matter how many pounds we are shooting. thanks for watching
@WV5915 жыл бұрын
@@peterjuulsgaard Peter Juulsgaard Good film..TU . I wasn't implying you were advocating shooting 50 pound bow, I saw your hand shake slightly and it reminded me of my mistakes when I started which was using 55 pound bows from start and I have regretted it all these years. As you say many shooting issues our in our mind and the biggest contributor is selecting the wrong bow.

Это не ошибка, у меня изначально 60 фунтов и я их вытягиваю спокойно и с выдержкой как Питер, но кому то может и тяжело. Надо мерить свою растяжку за ранее и ошибок не будет))
