I think all that cooking is done over wood fires. Love it. I’m sure that they could get propane if they wanted. I wonder why nobody seems to? Everybody just out living their life! Probably doesn’t change much day-to-day.

I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and my favourite restaurant chain here is called Bamiyan Kabob which is owned and operated by Afghani people. I discovered them by accident and their food is fantastic.

Just incase some of you wonder, "why you do not see women?" The Taliban's restrictive laws in Afghanistan have imposed many restrictions on women's freedom of movement and appearances, making it difficult for them to be seen in public. Women are not allowed to move around in public space unless they are in the company of a male relative classed as a mahram. In general, they are only allowed to leave their house for urgent matters and have to wear full veils if they do. Women who flout the dress code put their male relatives at risk of imprisonment.
