It looked like dodol in Ilocano sweets dishes, cook with coconut milk with molases or brown sugar. If you ever lived in the province, the young men and women get together and have their boon-fire with a huge cooking pot or wok ( called ciliaci) thats how the province life how they courting their girlfriends or boyfriends. It a very clean cut dating since their parents or siblings are also participating making the dish. Those were the days when you were not worried of your sorroundings. @PinayWifeinLebanon yes, tagapolot in ilocano. What part are you from Cagayan? My mother used to have a lot of land in Pamplona. We used to go there and collect abang from the land. So much banana, balanhoy(Casava) pineapple, mudfish but i don't liked to go to the river since too many leaches. This when we were very young, around 7 or 8 yrs old. Then we all came here in USA.

Yes, in Pamplona the Corpus family, Santos family and Ganir families. They are my father’s relatives. They immigrated there from Solsona, Ilocos Norte. In Gataran, we used to go there and make lubi lubi since they have a lot of coconut, camangeg, camote, banana and dikket. One of my mother's side immigrated there from Badoc, Ilocos Norte. Last name were Cajigal and Calaycay. Those were in late 60's. As my family live in Solsona, Ilocos Norte till we came here in USA. so much for that, wishing you a Healthy, Wealthy Prosperous New Year. God bless you all🙏💖🎉
