I totally agree. It is Eastern Mediterranean Music and belongs to anyone who plays (listens, dances and feels) it. During the multicultured empires of the past (Byzantine, Otoman e.t.c) there were no borders to the music and the musicians.

All are Greeks except the female singer and the saz player (Turkish). The clarinet player is a Pomakian from Thrace. In greece this is common traditional songs. I don't believe (as far as I know) that this is called "classical turkish music". It rather belongs in folk music.

Greek music has so many different styles, and can you really not expect that from a civilization that counts over 4000 years of history and siting between East and West?

I know. I didn't know how to "attack" him/her as what he/she said wasn't offensive. Plus, I was eating greek yogurt with honey at the time whilst I was responding.
