It's a Greek version of Bergama zeibek and is dedicated to Turkish settlements, where had significant Greek population till population exchange between Greece and Turkey in 1923. In my opinion, it's an elegy to left places in Turkey. Also, Mr Lekkas sang it perfect. I heard "Ayvali" (Ayvalık), "Pergamos" (Bergama), "Pergame" (Great probably Dikili), "Phochai" (Foça) and "Bourla" (Urla) well, but I didn't understand last place in this song. Please help me.

Agean music is only a part of turkish music and this kind fo music has been influanced by greek music of course, this is the rule of community which can be faced in every part of world where different cultures live together. Dont write me nationalist comments please. I am quite objective about this discussions. I love greek music but you can never ignore turkish music culture, dont make same mistake with nationalst turks...

nope, not even close. The Agean folk music is just an other Byzantine style of music. Byzantine music is a mix of different folk style of musics for example :Arab, ancient Greek, Roman, Persian etc, by history Byzantine empire and Byzantine culture where exist many years before Turks come and conquered Anatolia so all these clouds leads that you are nothing more than a Turkish nationalist blind by the Turkish education system and the Turkish Media.

I have to inform you that the music and the song is from Mikra Asia and is more older than you and everyone us are!So, the kind of that music is not Turkish.Additionally, Turkish music is based in the music you hear in this video.
