No, my dear ladies, that‘s not just A opinion, not just yours, it‘s mine, too! But honestly, it‘s no opinion, it‘s pretty fact! And no worry nor sorry for that great job you did! Forget about mistakes! Was there any real mistake, expect that you tried that now the first time! Anyway great you did now! And loads of thanks to you both and the dog, of course for this video and your kind attitudes! Not just you, but all people keeping this old techniques of backstrap weaving alive. Watch the dog, that knows you earned not just the respect of the world watching you, but the honor of of all ancestors of the backstrap weaving societies all over the centuries. How many are these, what do you guess? Any idea how old these techniques are? Backstrap weaving started by foot looms, you can trace back at least for more than 7.000 years! The tribes reached Arunachal Pradesh at least 2.000, if not up to 4.000 years ago! Some of the tribes targeted the Himalaya area, while others focused the islands of Southeast Asia since that time about 4.000 years ago! All these backstrap weaving tribes started somewhere along the Yangtse in China, nowadays spread all over Southeast Asia, from Japan, Korea and Taiwan, some still remain in Southern China, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam and some Pacific islands. Because of their seafarer skills some tribes built up a great cultural trade network between your area and the Indonesian island world, later connected to the Indian trade net. They got that far, that you find still nowadays some of these tribes in Madagascar (Africa). You earned the respect and support of all these worldwide backstrap weaving ancestors all these 7.000 years long by just trying at least once. They all gave support, that‘s how it became so great! Some tribes say, women needs to weave to cross the rainbow! You realized, what‘s meant, right! We saw in your eyes! Most of the tribes don‘t even know, that this technique is that old and that it connects them all, but funny how most of the tribes more or less got it managed on that long era to keep the backstrap loom alive. Many changed from the original foot loom to an external-braced backstrap loom, but most still use the foot brace as an essential relict of the foot loom. The backstrap loom is not just a loom, it‘s a sculpture work, representing the nomadic root, put onto the cultural stage! So keep the feet at least once a month on the foot brace and there will be no mistakes! Great job, very lovely done! The world loves you! Keep it in balance! All our respects!
