Traditional Jeju stone kiln firing visit

Lucky to be in Jeju for a Jeju onggi festival, ‘제주 옹기 굴제’, that included a wood firing in a 12 meter long traditional Jeju stone kiln. I went to watch the end of the 4 day firing. The stoking happens at the side holes (6 holes on each side, so 12 in total) whilst slowly closing the front fire-stoking-hole, as they progressively move from the bottom holes to the top ones.
