The main thing was the burial of their elder, and have never seen any burial ceremony for the masai either. I knew the ceremony was in Kenya that's why I signed as from ug. I don't mind which part of the world they leave I just said I love the masai as the only group of people with a strong culture all over the world. Thank you for letting me know tho. I am a Ugandan🇺🇬 born, left the country in 1992 at the age of 5 to America 🇺🇸. I've been here since but my parents made it possible to take us back to visit home 2 times each year. I learned about the Masai people from here in America. And I instantly fall in love with the people and their culture. Coming from a country such as America, a country with no sense of culture and seeing the Masai people hold on so tight to their cultures and ways really melts my heart. Many outsiders will look at this tribe as the poorest of people in the world. Because they themselves have no culture and not invested in learning about this beautiful people. Speaking from experience, I've argued with so many people about their beliefs about this beautiful, wonderful, amazing, most love and kind people on earth. I visited the Masai 3 times and planning on doing so again many and many more times God willing. I pray God keep them strong and hold on to their cultures. Long story short. I LOVE THE MASAI PEOPLE AND THE WHOLE KENYA 🇰🇪 COUNTRY. SEE YOU SOON.

This must be a modernized tradition. Somebody told me that traditionally Masai do not bury, as soon as one dies at the boma, taboo to touch a dead body, they shift leaving him alone to rote in the boma and thereafter the mention of the name of the dead ceases. I apologize to say this if I was misinformed and please correct me.
