"Moj e bukura More", the history of the 600-year-old Albanian song According to the Arbëresh philologist, Dhimitër Kamarda, the song originated with the Arbëresh of Italy, who, according to his study, were forced to leave Greek soil, leaving their lands in a place called More. More! Is it an exclamation point?!… A beautiful girl ?! Jo! More is the present-day Peloponnese of Greece. According to a study published in Italy in 1886, by the Arbëresh philologist Dhimitër Kamarda, More is a large region, which the Greeks changed their name and returned to the Peloponnese. The song "O beautiful More" memorizes the great memory of a lost homeland. According to the Arbëresh philologist, it is a toponym of this place from where most of today's Arbëresh of Italy left. The only document of this song is as material in the book written by the philologist, Arbëresh Dhimitër Kamarda, who lived in the years 1821-1882. He has published the book entitled: "Appendice al Saggio di Grammatologia Commprata sulla Lingua Albanese", and has been published by the publishing house F. Albergueti EC ”in 1866. In this book is published for the first time the text of this song written in Albanian. The book clarifies that the popular source text with a triple rhythm is the only version and original text of the song "O beautiful More". This song has been sung for 600 years and has taken on the dimensions of a song of emigrants, known and much loved not only by the Arbëresh, but also by the Arvanites of Greece and the Albanians of all regions. An extraordinary version of the Arbëresh song "O e Bukura More", comes through a very interesting interpretation of two well-known Italian artists, Lavinia Mancusi, Gabriele Gagliarini.
