I usually feel my body becoming completely relaxed and "sinking" into the ground, whilst simultaneously rising up surrounded by golden light. After that my journey usually begins in a sunlit forest, either going down or up. Middle world journeys (for me) are more strange, might start in a darkened place, a bit like a deprivation tank or a dimlit world.

Wonderful sound and timing on this drum and rattle recording.This is the sound I did my first journey with so I find it very comfortable. Beat is just right so there isn’t any anxiety or rushed feeling. The rattle is so healing . Thanks ,going to use this for a group of first timers. Love this!

I was just slipping into the trance when at the moment 9:52 in the soundtrack it suddenly flipped to a loud commercial. Naturally, this wrecked the whole experience. I came to and replayed the video back to that point. I see that normally one of the quiet ads like a banner at the bottom of the screen shows at that moment. A quiet banner is fine. If a loud commercial happens again, obviously I will need to switch to a different video.

I feel the need to share my journey somewhere, and here seems about appropriate since it is the video that allowed me to have this journey. At frost I had a super hard time visualizing my entrance and when I finally stepped in nothing happened. I realized I hadn't stated my purpose, so I go back up to start again. I repeat that I want to enter the lower world. That I will enter the lower world. When I feel ready I step in. I feel that there is nothing again and start to get disappointed until I suddenly start to see the world around me. Sorry for the somewhat broken English that is going to follow, I was worried about forgetting so I did a thing where it takes my voice into text and went in afterwords to clear up a couple things but it is very run-on-sentence-y. :p this is my first ever shamanic journey and I am verry happily surprised with how well it went considering how hard of a time I had visualizing the entrance. Anyways, here's the journey: So I entered in a hall and there is anubis there I think. the hall is filled with many colors it is golden and when I get to the throne there is a left or a right pathi take the right path and there the hall keeps getting darker even though there is light outside of the windows I can see. then there is a beacon of white light on a pedestal and I go up to it. I enter it and it whisks me up into a dark realm where there are starry figures of animals floating throughout the sky. as I go forward I see a lighthouse on a island off of a beach. it is in a picture of sorts and I go through the picture and onto the beach where the lighthouse is close to. there’s a big black cliff behind me and I step onto the water it turns like into ice as I walk likeElsa and I am able to go to the lighthouse. when I get there I open the door to the lighthouse and I go up. I can sense that there’s another human being here, a girl, but I can’t tell where she is or who she is. eventually I find. her she is looking off the rail she has a Sunday in the Park with George-esc hat on and when she turns to me her face is scary. I don’t know how to explain it. I got very scared I desperately try to find a way to escape. I climb up to the top of the lighthouse and opened the roof and I dropped down into it. I land in a cave of sorts. Something tells me It is somewhere in the underworld but that I should hurry along. there’s a small small trickle of a river flowing through it and in an offshoot there is a Rock wall. I climb it and at the top it is just a landing and I start to feel a bird picking me up and flying me away. I get the sense it is a large seagull. it lands me in a field of grain and my cat Arya is there with me. as we walk she follows me for a bit until I can sense there is a large animal ahead. I can’t tell what kind of animal it is, whether it is a tiger or a wolf or a dog like a saint Bernard. I can’t tell until finally I can see that it is a giant lioness. I get onto its back and grab on tightly to it to let it run it starts going off in one direction but I tell it to go in the opposite direction because there’s a cliff face that I want to get on top of. she takes me up there and when we reach the top there is a waterfall leading into a small pond. I notice my cat is no longer beside me. she starts drinking from it so I get off of her and also drink from it. at this point the drums told me to come back so I go back onto the lioness, tell her to take me to where I was left off, the bird takes me back to the cave if I go down the rock wall and I go up the lighthouse and on and back down it and out the door back to the starry dark realm down through the portal Beacon and out the doors of the giant hall. I suddenly come to and have feeling in my fingers again.

there are many great visualization practices. I am going to start making guided meditations with verbal cues. I think a good place to start is imagining you are a tree and grounding your roots deep into the earth. Focus on your breath. As you inhale imagine drawing energy up from your roots (feet) and up your spine, out the crown of your head. I hope this makes sense. Thank you for listening.

To be honest, I found trying to focus on rhythmic breathing counterintuitive and distracting. IMO that's for meditating without music. With the shamanic drumming I find it much better to focus on the drum beat and just let everything flow with that.

Scott, Thanks for checking out my video. Journeying within can be intense as our culture often does not take time to sit quietly by ourselves and examine the deeper layers. If you are new to this it could be challenging and uncomfortable at first. But I think and find there is major reward in the end as we learn more about ourselves and how we relate to our environments. I would focus on setting some good intentions for whatever you are wanting to explore in your journey. Maybe write/draw it. It is ideal to be in a comfortable and peaceful environment that feels safe for exploring the different perceptions of reality and consciousness. Maybe light some incense or smudge. Focus on your breath and taking slow deep inhales through the nose deep into the pelvic floor and exhaling through the mouth completely, making sure all the breath is gone before you begin to inhale through the nose again. Focus on 360 degrees of expansion in the ribs as you breathe. Hope this is helpful. Enjoy the journey, and remember, its a practice. There is no perfect journey or meditation.

Thank you for this track. The drumming is beautiful. For me, I found the breathing sounds were keeping me in my body, probably because it's a technique I use to be more 'in my body', so I found it too grounding and it took me nearly the whole journey to journey. Do you do just a straight drumming track, with no other sounds? I'd love to hear that; I spent most of the time trying to tune out the other sounds so I could hear that beautiful sound :-D this isn't a criticism; we're all different about how we journey. I stayed with the track because the pace of drumming is lovely, and the sound is so beautiful. Thank you :-)
