I am a native New Zealander. Maori, and we have similar traditions, culture etc. I am very proud of my heritage and The Native Americans have so much to be proud of too. Beautiful videos to watch, thank you.

I have only been to 4 Pow Wow's and was so happy I got to go.It was a spiritual experience for me. So my neighbor who is Apache has invited me and my 83 year old mom to so in October. She is so thrilled. I can't wait to see her face when she sees the amazing dancers..plus I will have to get her some fried bread too~ Respect!

I was raised really close to the Navajo reservation in New Mexico and I'm glad I got to witness these things at a young age. Sometimes I wish I was raised somewhere else but then other times I just get to sit back and think... "Wow, through centuries of oppression the native Americans still have their culture."

I am telling my girlfriend that we should go to Alburquerque to watch the powwows there. She is Native American.

I'm from New Zealand, it's nice to see a people keeping their spirit and culture alive, awesome. We had a visit of elders from an indian nation last year,They had lost all of their native fish of a particular species from their rivers and lakes to pollution. They were overjoyed our forefathers had placed that species from their traditional fishing grounds in our own rivers and lakes,and that the fish were thriving.The news made the locals very proud and humble, Can't wait to it hand back.

Very cool! I got to see an native American like this is this dress at my school! (Years ago.) Found it real interesting. He even explained about his love of nature and that they worship nature as a sacred God and so on. :D He even done a short dance. ^,^ Sadly I don't have a video of it as well in those days I had a very shit phone.

I love a people that have always made me welcome to the very best that they had. I love a people who are honest without laws, who have no jails and no poorhouses. I love a people who keep the commandments without ever having read or heard them preached from the pulpit. I love a people who never swear or take the name of God in vain. I love a people “who love their neighbors as they love themselves.” I love a people who worship God without a Bible, for I believe that God loves them also. I love a people whose religion is all the same, and who are free from religious animosities. I love a people who have never raised a hand against me, or stolen my property, when there was no law to punish either. I love and don’t fear mankind where God has made and left them, for they are his children. I love the people who have never fought a battle with the white man, except on their own ground. I love a people who live and keep what is their own without lock and keys. I love a people who do the best they can. And oh how I love a people who don’t live for the love of money. Hm. Learning the language(s) is great. I'm responding to you saying there are no books. So I figured you wanted a difference in the norm being English language. For whatever language, I know a lot of natives in all tribes move their children into American Public schools where they learn English. We do it to ourselves is all I'm saying. Am I wrong? =|

Natives used to live on a "feast - starvation" diet full of wild meat and vegetation. Since contact they brought sugar, flour and milk. Native lived for thousands of years with out that stuff so we never acquired the same enzymes in our bodies to digest milk, thus lactose intolerance (myself included), and diabetes from way to much sugar. Obesity is because we can store fat better (back during winter). Some natives are whiter cause either a) not full native or b) not enough sun.

God is real, God excepts anyone and the Native Americans were truly the people of God. Forget about the european conquest. They may say 'Canada' but that's our land. They may say 'USA' but that's our land. They may say 'Peru' but that's our land. North and South. The mother earth is real and God is he who gave her life. BE PROUD MY ANCESTORS THIS IS OUR LAND. :)

I am responding to you saying not to bless the very land you walk on. We don't have to bless the government but we should always bless the land. When all is said and done if the Natives keep their culture and stay peaceful and pure, the gov't. will fall down but Natives should be protected. I have Seminole ancestry so I believe this. Do not tell me your native name, but I'd like to know your tribe =)

Jello b/c you can't do it (war cry)?!... And b/c ladies find it irresistible ;) ... Obviously you have lost all your connection to anything sacred in the world so, clearly there is something about this that you fear, but envy at the same time so the only way you will allow yourself to express what you envy, is to disrespect it (or at least try). It must suck to have no culture or friends.

I understand you don't like USA but don't put comment on Yahweh or Yahashua on the tribal site. Our tribal people would appreciate. I am Christian and lot of our tribal people are Christian now. Why are you carrying a Christian name calling yourself John. what is your tribe and what is your tribal name. megwich Michael Red Hawk
@TheSaltyQueen9211 жыл бұрын
But... you have an Irish surname. And... you're Native I presume and if we do not bless the USA then we are basically damning it, and if we damn it, then... well... the Natives are damned...right? =| Do you mean not bless the land or simply do not bless the government? Thanks for reading =)

I'm Mexican, a native Totonaca Indian, we still keep some traditions but the Spanish conquistadores destroyed our culture, beliefs and traditions; now we are just a bunch of people with not much to share. But still I´m proud of being Indian and you're right this land belongs to us not to the conquistadores.
