These are the traditional virtues, ceremonies, and community of which I have been so fortunate to have been raised with. Images and video are of my village and family/community members. I ask that you please respect what I have chosen to share with you. A glimpse of my homeland and our ceremonial dances.

Asqwali. I appreciate you for this video. My father was Hopi, I was prohibited to attend and learn Our Values, I got to learn more about what I needed to heed.

Thank you for sharing this. The Hopi way is critical to our spiritual wellness, now, and in the future. I am honored to have visited the Hopi villages in June of this year. I am certain that it changed my life. Peace and love to all.

Glad to have read a research about prosocial behaviour and one of the example of ethics and moral characteristics is the Hopi community. Peaceful community, this is a great example of how the environment largely affect the people in it.

WOW... EXCELLENT! As you see my channel icon says, "BE"... I LOVE that you say these values presented are your people's goal to strive to LIVE "as a State of BEing." I always write BEing with the CAPS to remind us to BE... HERE, RIGHT NOW... To LIVE so that we don't miss the opportunity to fully embrace ALL that we've been given, especially One Another. LOVE IT!!!

HOPI means tiger skin and Ho means tiger while PI means skin. this is true. we, Korean are your Eastern brothers who only know your words as our ancestors located in Northeast Asia moved to the land of America a long time ago.

This is a great video.....but, there is one problem.....It's not long enough. I want more. It reminded me of another video, 'Shaolin Monks:The Wheel of Life." kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5uqi4CXmZZ0r9k. I was lucky enough to see a live performance a fee years ago. Please do more. There is very little information which hasnt been whitewashed, sterilized, and homogenized. I, personally, want to know more. If for no other reason, interview the elders and document their stories and knowledge so that it isn't lost to future generations. In the 1980s, a group of high school students in the mountains of NC began to do that. They published their efforts as 'The Foxfire Book'. I think there was 10 books in the series.

+Lyonhardht In the future I plan to do more projects focused around my tribe as well as other Native people. If you listen to these virtues again you will hear that one of great importance is that of patience and modesty. It is good that people have the ambition to want to learn more, but in order to keep balance there is a proper time to come across new teachings. I appreciate that you loved the content! Stick around and you may just see some new footage of similar videos! :)

+Waya Thorold From a band called Dawa, the Hopi word for Sun. A late family member of mine was the lead singer in that song and the album that it is from, I made the art work for the back cover. The song is titled Waya Heya

+JD Dalton (Samivaya) Hopi clan means tiger skin clan. Ho is 호 as Korean and means tiger. Pi is 피 as Korean and means skin or leather. Dawa is 다와 as Korean and means come to me (everyone).

Make your videos with true Hopi songs. Not like a Pahana sounding song. It makes us look more commercial than traditional. I'm talking about the beginning of your vidoe. It would mean more to us. KWA-KWAII

The way you define Hopi... could someone who isn't from the tribe learn about/from your Hopi spirituality/religious beliefs if they are respectful and align with the values?

Our philosophy is that you are what you are born into. Our virtues can be lived by anyone but to claim our heritage is something else.
