Aim small miss small ! My favorite is shooting in a cut corn field pick a stob at a random distance and let em fly. It's great for you guys that are afraid of loosing an arrow, builds confidence before you head into the woods to stump shoot as well. It's also great practice for rabbit and squirrel hunters 😎

I been and still use a zwickey Judo point for years with my Mathews Vertix and HTR Nocam either out of a treestand as a practice shoot and dropped whitetails moments later and watching them drop in under 40yds and also setup a paper Wawa coffee cup near my vehicle and shoot various yardages from 20 to 60yds with Easton Full metal jackets and arrow holds up well with Easton broadhead adapter rings to protect the hit inserts and fly extremely accurate the Carbon Express Judo type points are terrible the wire springs snap off .

Awesome. Most of the compound guys I shoot with don't shoot judo much. Glad to see you are. I agree the zwickey judo is the judo that last the longest and is the toughest!

@@garytomas1757 very true even shot at ground level at 60yds and the loud pop it makes blowing out the bottom of a paper coffee cup and arrow recovery is even easy in the pinebarrens of NJ with scrub oak and pine needles the spring claws are effective.

I just picked up a new bow reflex deflex long bow/flat bow having trouble getting the arrows i use with my recurve to shoot straight so i started to look for new arrows taking a while to find the right arrows for the bow its a process in its self never had a long bow since i was a kid do you have a recommendation for a 55lb draw at 28.5 inches i want to shoot 200-250 gn heads out of it?
@SamkoTradBow3 жыл бұрын
Congrats on the new bow. You are probably gonna be a 400 spine shaft I'm guessing. But there are so many variables including your form and release. Lots of great videos on bare shaft testing out there and that is a great way to get your arrows flying right and find the length and size you need.
@zachdavis712 Жыл бұрын
How many judos do you break jason? I bought a pack of glue on 125s, put them on a 40 grain adapter to equal my 160 points and broke the heads off both of them within 5 shots each just hitting leaves and dirt. Trying to figure out if I somehow got a dud batch but im not spending 15$ on 2 heads again if they keep breaking
@SamkoTradBow Жыл бұрын
Those csnt be real zewicky judo. They have to be knock off. I can shoot the same judo for 5 years with 5000 shots a year and break 10 arrows before the judo fails

When you are stump shooting carbon arrows are the best. Wood break and aluminum get bent. Carbons are the toughest. Hex heads, or judo tips are the best

I just saw this one. Great video and I wonder why there's not more of these also, cause the judo & stump shooting is the greatest consolation to traditional archery I know of! The judo is almost indestructible and I love stumping so much that it will take me away from hunting sometimes just for something to do when hunting gets too slow! Best shooting practice I know of!
