How did the smoke flavor profile compare to the Masterbuilt gravity feed?
@Smokingmeatsbbq Жыл бұрын
It was very mild, so much so that it was very noticeable. However, it is still there but nowhere near the flavor of the MB. I will have to do a comparison with guests but my guess is that most will prefer the mild flavor of the Traeger considering not everyone loves heavy smoke.

@@Smokingmeatsbbq My family is opposite, they like smoke flavor and pellet smoke is very mild. My 1050 will be shipped to me next week and I can not wait to get started with it. I asked for and recieved your solar battery pack for christmas. Works great with my Inkbird blower system and my Masterbuilt portable charcoal grill. I will be ordering the rack you use for the middle section.

Yep I hear ya! Everyone has their own taste profile they prefer. Thanks for the support and you will absolutely enjoy those mods :) keep in mind that shelf I recommend is perfect for my 800 but I’m not 100% sure it works on the 1050.

@@Smokingmeatsbbq Youre saying the XL has less smoke than Charcoal?

So....how did they taste? Did they have a smokey flavor?
@Smokingmeatsbbq Жыл бұрын
You know, not as much as my Masterbuilt but it was pretty darn good overall.

Real quick, you said 'Costco picked up back loin ribs" then after a while "it looks like my butcher has taken care of that for me.." Which is it?

It was Costco. Just referring to the Costco butcher haha

I think you’re supposed to taste them on the video so we can all see your face. Then you make some type of exaggerated mmmm sound. At least that’s what happens on all the other KZbin bbq videos! The ribs looked really good. I’m gonna order some of the Texas sugar rub to try. Thanks!

Haha 😂 that’s amazing. I spent the time enjoying them with friends. You’ll like Texas Sugar! Ribs were good but I wish I let them go just a tad longer. Next time!

try looking at the camera more and not at what’s distracting you to your left.

Thanks. I think the dog was in the yard getting into trouble 😂

A little advice on your video if you want it. You’ll get more views if you make your video much shorter. 10 minutes max but shoot for 5-7 minutes. People want to learn how to cook as quickly as possible and don’t want to waste 20 minutes watching just one video. I’m more likely to watch three shorter videos in the same amount of time as your one video. 😊
