Pedestrian bridges (or tunnels) are a life saver. The biggest traffic issue in my city is pedestrians 🤦‍♂️🤣

There are some terrible drivers out there! They probably drive that way because they feel comfortable with the new trauma center upgrade I added to the hospital since the last video.

I started using these in cities skyline 1 due to how much I hate pedestrian traffic slowing down traffic. I really enjoy my local's city pedestrian/bike only paths that take you to the core parts of the town, so I did the same and is now a staple go to for all my cities. Not only did they stop clogging up intersections, speeding up traffic, it also caused more people to walk/bike instead of using a car, causing even less traffic! I tend to use tunnels over bridges though!

I sometimes run into a strange bug/feature where if one of the pillars from a pedestrian bridge touches the road just right, it turns that part of the road into a weird roundabout-I have to delete the road and start over

Use anarchy and turn off snapping

For all my pedestrian paths, street level, above, or below, I turn off snapping. Even without anarchy it makes the tools much easier to use!

I wish they would make the footbridge tool better, they seem to be so huge for what I need to build. I would like to have so pre made stairs and then I could like the tops together as the slope allowed makes the briges so larger.

Thanks for the comment! I hear ya! I think there is a mod out there that allows steps, but I typically play “vanilla”. The ramps leading up to the bridges take up significant space. I typically use the multi curve tool to loop the footpath, but that’s still quite a bit of real estate.

@@Punkologist I’ve never used the stair mod, but I could imagine. I’ve used anarchy once and forgot I had it enabled. Then used the bulk tree tool and had a bunch of trees in my highways. I figured that was my sign to stick to vanilla play.

Some built on pedestrian bridges would be really nice. Also just nice and different paths. As much as people hate DLC I think a pedestrian focussed one would be nice for those of us who choose not to use mods

@@addictedfoolgamer1970 YES! That would be amazing. Overall I think this game lacks variety of assets for no mod players, but footpaths and pedestrian traffic are critical mechanics in CS2.
