They commit moral murder all the time and if they can be reined in and brought to order, our society will be better off for it. I support Dakore 100%. I’ve been a victim of unfounded accusations leading to character assassination and so know how hurtful it can be not only to the victim but to all those who know and love her. It is pertinent to note the blog post never enlisted the names of the alleged side chicks. So Dakoru’s law suit will be deemed overzealous because what we have is her likeness on the post and not her names. It is only inferred because the public named her in the comment section. That’s why the blog made their page private after the seize and desist letter. Heck a photo of Dr Betta Edu is one of the women there but little or no one noticed enough to care since she hasn’t been in the public glare like the others.

If the blogger is a registered member of NUJ( Nigerian Union of Journalists) then they have journalistic privileges of withholding their sources without a court order ( so it is now a full blown criminal case) and in classical journalism there is headline satire whence a headline can be inflammatory or hyperbolic providing there is an accompanying article or body of information to further explain and bring clearer portrayal of the subject matter. The blog post kept saying more details to follow- that has been halted by Dakoru’s seize and desist letter. So her legal foray can be misconstrued as gagging the press because it caused an abrupt end to the full unveiling of the reportage that was to come from the blog. Who is to say that the full details would have exonerated her? Who is to say her likeness was a plot twist in disguise?Believe me, no body wants a counter suit from a journalist that you wanted to gag the freedom of the press and freedom of the press lawsuits has international jurisdiction ie a journalist can sue a Nigerian in the US or UK because freedom of the press is an international human right freedom. I pray she is properly advised
