Tragedy of Dominoe || Drawing Daphne (Winx Club Rewrite)

In this video I draw Daphne's base design, an everyday casual look, her fairy form, and her nymph form! This video gets pretty dark near the end, but I think the story is pretty alight!

I can't help it to see myself in Daphne's character and role in the story, and when I visualized the fall-down of Domino I, legit, felt TERRIFIED when she met Valtor inside Bloom's nursery room. This reboot writing sure does give her a proper, heart-wrenching, important role to Bloom and her story.

I love Daphne's design! Her romanesque body shape to the goddess theme in her Nymph form is lovely, and her story reminds me strangely a little of a Iphiginea, if that makes sense... looking forward to the next installment in this series!

thank you! I wasnt really familiar with iphigenia's story until just now, but I can see how the vibes are similar, both were eldest daughters sacrificed during war times because of the influences of much more powerful beings, really interesting connection!

Daphne's spirit from/nymph form looks so different! But honestly if I saw her Infront of me I'd faint on the spot cause of her beauty and her beautiful blue eyes.

Man I really love these redesigns. They're simple, but they have a lot of personality to them. I quite like the bit of Daphne's hair that covers her chest especially, not sure why, but it feels right. Her figure combined with the hair makes me think of The Birth Of Venus. I'm almost positive that was the intent too, and it shows beautifully! Thanks for the videos! They're so much fun! Edit: Oh, I also love that she dies in the end as a sacrifice. Characters doomed by the narrative and whatnot. I think it's a lot more powerful than having her and her parents just, ya know, live. It kind of defeats the purpose of Domino being essentially gone and Bloom and the Dragon Flame being the only living remnants of a bygone era.

I looked at a lot of paintings to reference for this design and Birth of Venus was def in there! I also gave Bloom those little hair sections that she pulls forward, so I thought it would be sweet if Daphne had done the same thing, just with much longer hair lol. Also, big agree on the points in the edit!

I really want this reboot to actually happen. I love all of your designs and choices. And, a reboot would be able to fix plot holes and get rid of issues that the original show had. It would be awesome!

she looks so good, and I do not believe in seasons 5-8, they don't exist it's made-up nonsense ( I don't count wow and the movies they exist and I have very fond memories of them)

oh yaay my favourite character outside the winx group😍 I almost cried listening to your story, I can't imagine how emotional I'd get watching a animated version of it😭😂 I love the idea of her giving up her new found life for the greater good, it's such a sad but good ending of her arc. It never felt right to me when Daphne turned into a normal human being again in the later seasons because it kinda lessend her sacrifies for Bloom and Domino.

Absolutely wonderful video. Your Daphne design was totally awesome and so nicely done and the color schemes were beautiful chosen. I also really enjoyed your rewrite for the lore of Daphne. It beautiful depict the character from the animated series and gives us more information about the character that we have come to known as The Nymph of Sirenix. Thank you so much for this video. I really enjoyed it and can't wait for your next video that we deal with The Trixs.

No you should do your original character idea! Not only do I love hearing your re-imaginings of the plot, but i think it'd be really interesting to hear a story about a character that'd be far less limited by trying not to stray too far from the original plot, there are of course areas where you'd want things to line up I'm sure, but i think it'd be great!
