My grandfather was a itinerant cowboy in the 20s, while he was working on a ranch outside of Dallas, grandma made friends with the native Americans that lived on a reservation nearby their line house. She had a really special friend and 9 months later had my mom. The indian women helped deliver her. Mom was born with a caul on her head and they took it to do a ceremony or something. It was supposed to protect her from ever dying a violent death. Grandma and grandpa were short and blue eyed with blonde hair. My mom was 6 ft. tall with black eyes and hair and brown skin. She had a hawk nose and high cheekbones. It was pretty obvious she was not like anyone else in the family. My sister was blonde and I got the dark eyes and hair! I also got her very scary temper!

The Seminoles sent my people food when they themselves had nothing. My people were dying because of a disease that were wiping out our staple food. I am a born and raised Yorkshireman in England. But my kin folk were originally from Ireland. My whole family will never forget what the Seminoles did. I to this day carry on our mindset and honour of our words. "If the Seminoles ever called upon me. They have my mind, body and word for their defence and can do with us as they wish. As they had the mind, body and word to keep my people alive from afar". I feel for them having to negotiate with Walking Eagle's. May they be seen free and given ALL THEIR LAND BACK.

I was with you until the lies about the pipeline. DAPL is not the only pipeline going across the land, DAPL is not a government project, they were compensated for the ROW and got greedy when hippies started protesting. For the record pipelines are the safest way to transport, crude, natural gas, and fuels. Ways safer than the alternative that they were claiming to want.

@@jeng8630 The history we have been taught the last few decades, and which you likely subscribe to, is the slanted history. And all current dramatizations of European/Indian conflict are fantasies created by those with the "woke" mind set. If you read the histories written by real historians (some writing today) you will see that the noble savage living at one with nature and at peace with his Indian brothers is largely a myth. There were terrible things done by both sides but never forget that they were called savages for good reason.
