The story at that time in news papers was that Syeda wanted to get their daughter's (Namrta) married with Abis Rizvi who was in that party also. When Brij came to know of this, he went wild and shot Syeda and Namrta both and shot himself also. Abis Rizvi and Kamal, however, escaped somehow. Abis Rizvi was later on killed in terrorist attack in a night club on new year eve of 2017 in Istanbul alongwith one Miss Khushi Shah, a designer of Bombay.
