He was falling off the back, he had driven Him bleeding out that far, the were minutes from kings college hospital but if he can’t hold himself on. The only thing marry could have done is got off too and either tried flagging a car down or attempted life saving procedures which I think the civs did anyway

If the pin strikes and it doesn’t fire it’s a dodgey primer or poor ammo, firing pins don’t get stuck, it’s a simple mechanical device, if somehow it was cocked and something that is the right size to fit in the gap stops the hammer dropping fully but that’s unlikely they are designed to still fire even covered in mud (especially more modern weapons) Dodgey ammo wouldn’t surprise me at all but forgetting to chamber a round and charge the weapon whilst the adrenaline pumping is likely too
