I got to meet JYD a couple of weeks before he died at a wrestling show here in Ohio, at the end of the show I got his autograph and my friends and I got to talk to him and hacksaw Jim duggen for about a half hour or so, both were very nice and friendly answered all our questions, it's a memory I will never forget

A excellent job on this great wrestler. I see from your vlogs you cover many of these amazing athletes, & that they some seem to die at a early age. As it's really sad that this happens to many and in various ways. I sure appreciate your Lion Heart towards all Jordan, and so respectful to all in telling their story's of life. RIP Sylvester Ritter. Jordan Ty for your efforts and quality research you do! Every vlog is detailed and so well articulated! I know no one that seriously delivers such well researched vlogs as you & our little buddy Jah! 😉Luv&Peace to all channel members and viewers this holiday season Cheers!🍻✌🏼

Back in the late ‘70s or early’80s when I was in 6th/7th grade, JYD, Ted DiBiase, and I think Skandor Akbar plus some other wrestlers put on a wrestling match over two days at our school gymnasium in our little town of 2,000 in south Louisiana. What a great time it was to see him and the others live after watching them on TV. The day they were to leave after the matches, a whole bunch of us ran over to him just as he was about to get into his car. I was next to him with about 20 other people, he reached out to shake our hands. I felt three other hands fit into his big paw, then one lady said, “Oh, I’m never washing my hand again!” JYD let out a big laugh. As my brother and I walked to the gate and stopped at the entrance to watch them drive out, Ted DiBiase pulls up in a Trans Am with one of our friends in the passenger seat. What a lucky friend we had.

I watched JYD beginning in 1970 on Houston Wrestling with promoter Paul Bosch. The Dog was no doubt a great fan favorite and many times rocked the Sam Houston Colosseum in Houston. Sad to hear that his life ended so abruptly at such a young age. Have to say that this video was excellent, and the narrator was straight-up engaging and respectful of everyone he mentions in his video. I appreciate his down-to-earth approach of treating JYD and giving an honest, nonjudgmental assessment of this wrestler. I’ll be watching more of his videos.

JYD was one of my favorite pro wrestlers back in the 1980s. I seen him wrestle in World Class Championship Wrestling, Mid South Championship Wrestling, World Wrestling Federation and World Championship Wrestling. He was a great wrestler and a great guy and I was shocked and stunned in 1998 when I got the sad news that he was killed in a car accident in Mississippi. I sure miss him so much. R.I.P. JYD.
