I used to take that mix every night. It's the only way to beat my pain and insomnia to sleep. Terrifying that I did it but I did. Taking the pain pills seems to block me from thinking clearly enough to understand that I was high risk for death. I always assumed I'd be fine bc I had done it the night b4 and I was fine. Well fine by my standards. Anyone taking pain pills and sleep meds is anything but fine. I havent done that in about 4 years. Now I just don't sleep normally. I use kratom to take the edge off my pain and I barely sleep. It's really hard to fight against taking what u know will work when you're in those moments that you're desperate to go to sleep. The only thing that's saved me from going back is my fear of death. I stopped the pills when I started waking up with withdrawal symptoms every morning. That gets really old. U get tired of dealing with being sick every morning. I figure I can either deal with the pain and insomnia and be alive or I can deal with the withdrawals in the mornings and risk death but get sleep. I picked the pain and insomnia. Guess that tells u how bad withdrawals are. I saw the withdrawals as the worst thing to deal with. Now the fear of death keeps me from going back.
@kikijess08262 жыл бұрын
@@lolasmom5816 Good for you for resisting the urge to take them. That takes a strong person because I know you really want to sleep and even the withdrawals wouldn't prevent a lot of people from taking them. Kudos, stay strong.

With regards to John Bonham, the only thing that first aid and/or first responders can do with someone who's consumed a potentially lethal amount of alcohol is to ensure they do not aspirate vomit. Hospitals can do very little except give them fluids and put them on their sides. There is no antidote for alcohol -- it has to be processed by the liver over a period of hours. In cases like Bonham's, he may have survived had someone simply rolled him onto his side. However, he had enough alcohol on board to stun a moose, so who knows?

When I worked on a tv series in Hollywood in the 90s, one of the minor actors said he had made extra money by driving a limo and drove Heather O'Rourke and her parents to the set during the filming of the Poltergeist movie. He didn't like the parents at all, saying that she was kind of a frail little girl and he thought they pressured her to be successful at way too young an age. Almost everyone in Hollywood "always knew" about impending tragedy surrounding the untimely deaths of movie actors, so it's always hard to know what to believe, but it was pretty chilling to hear anyway. I always liked talking to the costume and hair people more, as they had a much more symbiotic relationship with the people they worked with and are secure in their jobs (unlike actors!), so they are more believable, imo. They had the best "behind the scenes" stories anyway, and I loved hearing them. It's what made me want to be a writer more than an actor, because acting is insanely boring, time wasting and frustrating, while learning from other people, collecting stories and sharing and interacting is a thousand times more interesting. Also, stardom really comes and goes without any rhyme or reason, people like Sarah Jessica parker worked from childhood for almost 30 years before hitting the jackpot with Sex and the City, even though she was a brilliant actor and knew almost everything about stage and screen, coming from New York. It was a complete fluke, even though she deserved her success, there are plenty greats that fall by the wayside...not fun..

Quick note: A slight inaccuracy in the Heath Ledger case. He wasn’t found nude, more significantly the autopsy revealed it was the combination of drugs that killed him. He had taken the amount prescribed ~ all by the same doctor - however, the interactions of the drugs caused them to build up in his system, so effectively they were almost constantly there as his body, naturally, couldn’t process them fast enough as their metabolisable amounts had been passed. This meant the final dose was fatal. It ruled it out the idea of an accidental overdose on his part; but it also ruled out the doctor as being culpable because part of the problem was the brand of the medications. Some brands use different methods to create the slow release effect, that meant the drugs interactions on this occasion caused the fatal build up. So it was a standard practice within production of the meds that ultimately killed him. Side note: the Oscar was “only” posthumous because he died before he collect it, the decision wasn’t influenced by his tragic death as some media reported.

Anyone past the age of 65 will probably remember how beautiful Natalie Wood was when she played the part of Maria in “ West Side Story. “
@laurencejones75542 жыл бұрын
Does everyone know that Natalie Wood was a child star ? I know she didn’t make as many movies as Judy Garland and Shirley Temple, but her part in Miracle on 34th Street made that movie a holiday classic that is loved by millions of people. Does anyone know who played the part of Kris Kringle in that movie ? Whoever he was, no one else could have been such a convincing Santa Claus and we can say with little Natalie Wood: “ Mother, he really is Santa.” He is real, isn’t he ? He’s as “ real” as the Easter Bunny, because when we’re little children, he brings us our wonderful toys, and sets them carefully beneath the tree on Christmas Eve.

Why celebrities whether actors, singers, athletes, musicians, etc. mess up their lives ingesting so many drugs??? It doesn’t matter if the drugs are legal or illegal…….they both are equally deadly IF people abuse them. Perhaps it is the pressure of fame, their careers, rigid schedules, appointments, and so forth that makes them go for drugs or alcohol. But the funny thing is that they have all the money in the world to get treated mentally and physically to be “clean” and healthy and yet, they don’t do it, nor they seem to care about anything or whatever happens to them. The human organs can take so much but it is going to be a time when it says, ENOUGH ALREADY……And you will die for sure. It is very saddening and tragic being talented folks, beautiful people with great careers, and all wasted on drugs which eventually, will kill them. Very unfortunate and tragic. It is heartbreaking. May these beautiful souls, Rest in Peace for all their eternity 🙏💐

It's been 30 years since Natalia Wood was murdered by Wagner, even as he's at 93 he still lied about murdering, the amazing star, from her beginning right up to the night he murdered her, then covering it up with lies, Walken was part of that murder cover up too, and the Fing investigation continues, sorry Natalie wood, no disrespect meant😢

People do NOT have “surgeries.” They have operations or undergo surgical procedures, in a section of the hospital typically, and in verbal shorthand, called a “surgery.” The use of the word “surgery” in place of the word “operation” is a common mistake, and one, having heard the word misused for over 30 years, which drives me bugfuck.

Taking the opportunity here to mention that nobody seems to have remembered Oscar Wilde, playwright, and spokesman for the subject of a famous court case. The Marquis of Queensbury, father of Wilde's lover Lord Alfred Douglas (Bosie) took Wilde to court on a case based on so*omy, using Wilde's letters to Bosie as proof. WILDE lost thr case and was sentenced to 2 years' hard labour. On release he found that the scandal had ruined him and healed to France. There, he eventually died of syphilis There is a well-known photo of Wilde on his deathbed, taken shortly after his passing. He is seen covered haphazardly with a scattering of flora Born in 1854, Wilde was born in a time where homosexualty was not only frowned on, but the word was barely uttered. Queensbury's long vendetta paid off better than he could have hoped, with Wilde's ruination. Which others like Oscar suffered for their sexuality or proclivities, I wonder. It would be nice if KZbinrs would remember that the Internet reaches that "back of beyond" that is the UK
