Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes

Hello BBB Adventurers!
This week's episode picks us up in Northern Idaho the day after we rode the Route of the Hiawatha (last week's video) and follows us as we start to ride the Trail of the Coeur d' Alenes which is a rail trail that follows the route of a mining rail line dating back to the 1880's.
We used Lou's Bicycle Shuttle Service, which as a spectacular experience. Here's Lou's info if you even find yourself in Northern Idaho riding these great trails and need a bike shuttle.

Hey Chris, Glad you continue to enjoy our Adventures. We've been super happy with the performance of the Shimano Alfine 11 hubs. Between The Apollo Mission and other rides we've done, I'd guess we are somewhere between 4500 and 5000 miles on the bikes. I've changed the oil several times but that's it. Still running the original belts. I think the first major replacement will be the rear belt cogs as the teeth are showing some wear. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride

Great video as always! Quick question about Disco’s basket… How does it attach to your bike? Do you have a link for it?

Hey Bethany, Thanks for the kind words about our content, we appreciate it. We got the basket for Disco on Amazon and have been very happy with it. Disco only weighs 4 lbs so I'm not sure how well it would do with a heavier dog but it seems very sturdy when attached to the bike via the included bracket mounted to the handle bars. The bracket also has a quick release for when you don't want the basket on the bike. Hey Melissa, Thanks for watching and thanks for the reply. I didn't get a super good look at the bush so it could have been huckleberries but I'd be surprised since that plant only grows in the wild. If it was, I wish we'd have stopped and ate a bunch of them. They are delicious. Enjoy the Ride
